Indeed as the Economy dwindles as a result of corruption by goverment officials and the fall of crude oil, Agriculture being Nigeria's first Love stand's out as the only S.O.S call that would liberates the country.. |

Yyeske:Unlike you guys I see it as good thing. However Imo Governor made it clear that he won't tax Imolites or even charge them school fees until he's done with his heavy infrastructural programs. Let's wait and watch events unfold in next 3 to 5 years. |

You have never made any coherent point in your miserable life. You are the cause of the backlash against your state. Until you learn to mind your state it will not stop. What you throw at us, we hit you back in a thousand fold. Evil minded clown, keep deceiving yourself.. ![]() Abagworo:[/s] |

The state government woke up from their sleep to early. They should have continued sleeping and keep hoping on the FG to spoon feed them monthly like babies. |

alade112:And you fail to also note that about 50% of IGR from Lagos comes from the oil firms there, Shell, Exxonmobil, Chevron, Total, Agip, Addax Chinopec, Monipolu, Affren, Seven Energy, Haliburton, Schlumberger, Baker huges, Weatherford and quite a lot of others not mentioned here...even the wharf alone did u know the income generated for Lagos through the proximity of former Nations capital...and some ill-frame SWteners will be here forming as if its all by their effort |

Ebonyi state IGR will surprise many Nigerians when released, the governor had blocked all leakages or loop holes that money can escape. The whole IGR is being paid to one account, so if you give ur money to anybody na dash u dash am. |

uduak2016:Well, the report is about how states intend to increase IGR, and the targets they have set. And the thing is, I am not surprised states have set those high figures....because thanks to falling oil prices, the states no longer can rely on oyel money. By the way, what are you grumbling about? If the states are successful, perhaps in time, they will be less dependent on oyel money. |

lexyclasy: You must be siick! I don't seem to understand your point. So it's our fault that your people refuse to give peace a chance. Do you think white men don't value their lives. keep bombing ok. Tell me, since the white man came to colonize Nigeria, were was their administrative headquarters (LAGOS). You think the area in Lagos named VICTORIA ISLAND was named for just naming sake. So stop speaking French in an English matter ok. |

lexyclasy:A lot of the IGR too comes from taxes on citizens, and many other businesses in Lagos too Oil is not the only player in Lag town. (That is why Fowler , the former Lagos taxman was made head of FIRS. To repeat what he did in Lag at the federal level.). |

Quakertellicus1:Its obvious most guys don't understand how taxation works. Multinationals do not pay taxes to states, they pay to Federal Govt. |
