Aptly said! I agree with you. I do think that we have left the "study" of the scriptures too much, if not entirely, and we simply "read/recite" these verses, most times to meet our selfish gains and aims, on sundays and other few times, in our abodes.

Most of the blame, I will wholly direct to the doorsteps of the wolves in sheep clothing who many have given the keys to their spiritual existence.

Now on the subject, faith... It is probably the most abused facet in present day christianity. They make it look like faith causes God to act, forgetting that the faith we lay claim to is God's. Faith like you said, is beautiful... But it doesn't work like we have made it to look like. Faith only works when it is in accordance with God's plans and will.

I have had to pray my way out several times in situations and certain conditions with so great a faith, and yet nothing seemed to work. I'm reminded to say of Paul's travails with "thorn" that led him to also do some frantic prayers, three times as evident in the scriptures... And what did God reply him with... "My grace is sufficient for thee." With the thorn still having to stay.

If any man would preach extensively on faith and exclude "The Hebrew(three) men's case", I'll say to him that he hasn't yet touched faith. Faith is like the heart in the human body; without it, one is dead spiritually and it ought to work devoid of our efforts and ambitions. It is simply explained as "believing in Christ" irrespective of travails and situations.

yes wiped our sins away and made us a new being ..... affirmative!

but there is one thing GOD gave mankind ,that is the power of free will, GOD doesn't want to coerce you to love him ,he wants you to choose to love him and follow his words . he doesn't alter our free will.

with that being said , with this power men choose to sin or not to, when you are in sin it is beyond his jurisdiction because that's the devil's domain . Jesus gave us the way to God's salvation but we have the power to choose to be in his sanctuary or not to be.

Because they lack understanding. They need to understand that manner doesn't fall from heaven.. they should also know that until the begin to utilize their God given talent they will never remain poor. because money is not the only characteristics of true success.

God is more interested in our well being and attending to our problems than how we pray.

A troubled soul is less likely to follow that pattern and I believe God in his infinite mercies understands this. However, any prayer without an iota of faith will be frowned upon by God. That is why the bible.records that without faith it is impossible to please God.

if you are in sin why pray to GOD ?
you know GOD IS RIGHTEOUS . be righteous let's see if your prayer won't be answered as long as you have faith and you are patient .

sin is the devil's domain , the fact is you can't be in both side , you've to choose .

the people of God's prayers can be delayed but will definitely be answered.

What does prayer do exactly ? I get it can be very therapeutic and all but what exactly does it do in achieving whatever want you want. The way it is believed to work makes one think magic can make anything happen but then we often get told prayer isn't magic.

Not everyone has a talent, that's why we go to school, learn a trade and need a little bit of luck.
but poor people most times cannot afford any of these, that's why they are wretched in the first place,
so they use all their whole mind to pray and still nothing. they hardly have any breakthrough and some of them even suffer to their death.
To me I think they are just unfortunate.

But the power of prayer lies not on our faith, but on the finished work of Christ.

Hebrews 8:1-2 reminds us that it is through Jesus alone that we can now approach God in prayer. He is the high priest that mediates for us and stands on our behalf before the Father to come to His presence and offer worship, gratefulness and petition. That's why we end every prayer by saying "in Jesus' name."

Many believers pray today thinking it's their faithfulness that will get prayers answered. We watch for keywords, traditions and rudiments unawarely thinking that's what will get our prayers answered.

Even the simplest of prayers will be answered when we realise that it's God's faithfulness and not ours that answers prayers.

God's faithfulness to hear and answer our prayers does not depend on our rudiments, our works, or our ability to shut our doubts and fears. It's God that works out our faith and it is His perfect love that casts out our fears.

ok peradventure, you love a girl so much but she loves someone else and enjoy that person's company . if you have the chance to take her from grass to grace would you? even if you do you'd know it is conditional.

now relate that to GOD and people. he loves us unconditionally , all he asks in return is to follow him willingly and he will BLESS us .

Obviously every human creature has a God given talent.. to some he has given less to others he gave more.. you don't go to school to learn how to be successful my brother if not job creation will not be a very difficult problem for Nigerian government. I pray you find your God giving talent u will understand that we are poor because we chose to.

Well, I only have one thing to say:

Nigeria is currently the way it is because most people spend their time praying and having faith that things will get better when they could just roll up their sleeves and actually do the work that would make things better.

These are the prayers with which the Holy Rosary is prayed. Note that everything about it is centered on the Lord Jesus and His life on earth. Just like the connection the world recognises in a mother &child, so we believe that Mary and Jesus were connected here on earth and are still connected today in heaven.

Now you don't necessarily have to believe in this or practice it but you can at least respect it the way you respect the mother of your dearest friend. You don't need to be a Catholic to get favours from her..You just need to ask as we are all her children whether we love her or not. You could be like the woman in one of her many stories where a childless woman went to one of her statues and said, ' I heard you can give children, please give me a child' and by God's grace she got it.

It's not easy to explain how she works but you just notice little little extraordinary graces or good luck in some things while living your life normally.
