Johndrake69 you guys can see we are having new people joining the train, we need to create a very large awareness on Nairaland too. If you check my recent post and signature you'll see that I've been doing a good job on here. However we all need to be in this together, this requires .much more commitment than we seem to be giving it. Thanks.

I appreciate and applaud all those who have contributed to this thread. In as much as we are taking some steps, I want ask what the modus operandi of this revolution will be but I can see its gonna be only an ideological revolution.
I might be wrong but I have reasons to believe that a Violent revolution is the most effective way to save Nigeria. This might be extreme and quite radical but I think there has to be bloodshed. Some of these politicians and elites need to be eliminated or exiled which will set an example for the others to follow and learn that Nigerians should not be taken for granted and thus whatever we request for will be granted very fast. I commend everyone here for their input.
Once again I might be wrong. We Will Get There.
My opinion: you are most Probably wrong, my stand is no death, there are better ways to achieve revolution I hope! Cos once u kill somebody dat has family and beneficiaries that benefits from the money he or she stole, do u expect them to applaud and not strike back? Then it will turn to football match. We youths just need to upgrade our thinking and brain from ballot box snatching and protesting without clue of situation with the mindset of am a leader of tomorrow to leaders of today who should be ready to step into the shoes of the elders, vast thinking and responsible, also patriotic and analyzing, participating reasonably in the activities in the society.
As I am now; no one can bribe me to either protest or instigate political violence but can I say the same for the rest? NO!

Seem I am gonna emulate you too. There is little I can do alone as most seem satisfied with the status quo but I am still hopeful.
Morning fellow compatriot, I have seen your level of disgust on the current system playing in our dear nation. And as such, I find it spellbinding to invite you for a chat .

I give up on the citizens of Nigerians I swear. Just look at Turkey. Although Erodogan was not so liked they still preferred him to a military rule and they protested against this and were not scared of death. They embarked on a violent protest and fought for their future against the coup which made the coup a failure.
If it was Nigeria, the best you would hear is " Nigerians react on Facebook,Twitter etc to the Military Coup" they will never fight for their future and against injustice even if it means sacrificing their lives which the Turkish citizens did. Nigerians only protest and react on Social Media and not on the streets or physically.

Re: Youths/occupy/nigeria/2016 by Raziii(m):
laudable initiative and I wanna be part of it. The revolution should start from our mind. from the way the select our leaders. why do we vote for a certain person and what do we expect from him/her? have you thought about it, Nigeria has got more concentration of youth, so we should be able to decide the outcomes of elections, how come we keep getting it wrong. Today we are berating the National assembly but come to think of it, how did the people in the house get there. ironically, a lot of them won by landslides. how come? looking at the past records of those guys, 90% has got no business being in the national assembly. we can't plant weed and expect to harvest maize! Same in our states and the federal executive. everything is just so wrong. and it's that way because we got it wrong at the elections. we need to raise the bar so people won't win us over with sentiments like I had no shoes or I am now a born again or Mr integrity. if we are the intelligent bunch then let our votes begin to show it also. let's begin to resist anyone who wants to play smart with those votes. let's begin to demand for results. let's begin to hold our leaders accountable. let's begin to show these political parties that they don't own the country but we the ordinary citizens do. and we can vote any under forming leader out at any time we want. for me the real battleground is in our minds, expecially as concerned elections. let's begin to demand for structures that work. take for example, we are begging our leaders to be responsible but if we had good electoral structures, that structure would automatically shut them out and if they somehow pass that, it will boot them out in no time. I want to see a Nigeria that works and I am passionate about it. happy there is a thread dedicated to that purpose. I wanna suggest if we can have a whatsapp group. that would be great you know. God bless you all!

The time is now. 90% of the entire wealth of this great nation is being shared between less than 2% of the total population that have meandered their ways into the government in the name of politics, leaving the remaining populace to doom in poverty. Our parents may be too old to speak and our children may be too young to talk. So, believe me if I say that the youths are the protector of our hard-earned independent country. If we fail to plan out our way of making Nigeria a better place then we plan to fail not only ourselves but also the generation unborn. When we earned our independence from the British, we did that to be free indeed not to be colonized or mishandled by our own countrymen that are privileged to be at the high table to govern the affairs of the nation......It's high time we raised our voices in one accord. It's either we speak now or remain silent forever.
