Mutiny is a serious offence within the military but in the light events leading to their rebellion i hope the govt considers their plea for pardon.

Am not sure they can reconsider. Seriously d guy who was interviewed only said his own part. He didn't include the part where they refused the order of a General point blank and if its the case I. Heard of then I think they wanted to lynch the general just because they saw their friends body in other unit after been hit by insurgents. The truth z they signed for the job they know the rules before they decided to act in an estraged manner I didn't know what saved them sef from firing squad. Because peak of indiscipline and one of the graetest offence in d military. Anyway am not condemning them sha who am I to but................................ Agreed they signed for the job and went against the rules but it's just saddening that despite their efforts to keep the country safe they had to pay a steep price for the betrayal by their senior officers.

Lolzzz they are still our brothers now. As for me I dnt for any reason support killing. The only set of people who deserves been shot are the bad guys (insurgents, politicians etc)

But one tin pple here on nairaland didn't really know and won't care to know is. Those soldiers stepped over their lines. Their ranks z within lcpl and sergeants. And yet you directly refused the order of a whole GENERAL. 1 star or 2 star I dnt care. Their are ways to disobey orders dat won't arose mutiny or so. Even here where I am when 3rd termals give me job to serve they won't care how I do it even though they know the job z negative. Yet u must just find a way of doing it.


I pray for the soldiers sha. And I believe God will revist them but even buhari can't release a mutiny case. He z a retired General himself and he knows how grievous the offense z. And if dz guys are released it will trigger many more indiscipline in the military.

In the advanced countries, you could point blank disobey an order by your superior if you feel his orders directly put you in line of danger. Naija is just backward in all spheres of our lives. Betrayal in what sense. Bros we have a chain of command in the military. And to me they betrayed the oath they took. Orders might be grievous infact many a time they might give u order that seem like its not acheivable, still u hv to try ur best and do your part. They were not betrayed, instead they betrayed their uniform left to me.

Do you know there were complaints of sabotage by moles within the military hierarchy and lack of enough ammunitions to prosecute the war at the height of Bh insurgency

There was a particular case of ambush that led to the death of some fine officers with accusations that the victims were betrayed by senior officers that probably gave out coordinates of their location to BH members.

These I consider to be betrayal which partly resulted to mutiny by those soldiers.

However I am not advocating disloyalty within the military but when one juxtaposed those situations you'll realise they are humans too.
