I tired of hearing the word NDA..it pisses me off
Re: My Encounter With Niger-Delta Avengers- Solomon Dalung by AntiWailer: 8:48am On Jul 18, 2016
The main reason has been stated.

Maritime University - Tompolo

Pipeline policing contract - Tompolo

When they released list of people to dialogue, they added Tompolo

NDA is financed and sponsored by Tompolo. It is that simple.

So for 4 years that Jonathan was there, NOTHING was done ?

I foresee the NDA coming out to debunk this lie. This guy didn't meet the Avengers. Their demand isn't about amnesty and the pipeline protection contract this dude mentioned.

I keep repeating it that we are holding the wrong person accountable for the under development of the Niger Delta. Their Governors are there. Government at every level is there as you pointed out.

I expect them to first call their Ward Counsellors, their Local Government Chairmen, their Governors, their Senators and House of Representative nominee before fighting the Federal Government. Can we say over the years that the Federal Government has not provided funds to develop the region beyond the rot we now see? What happened to the funds?

Our hope is that a quick and lasting solution will be found for this problem. It is a setback not only to the country, but specifically to the people in these communities.

I show concern for Oporoza community. The military will always invade and attribute the community to Niger Delta Avengers. It is bad PR for the community.
My line of thoughts, anytime!
Amen to the prayers.

“The issues include the Niger-Delta Maritime University, pipeline community policing which they said the government had denied them, and the inability of the government to continue with the amnesty programme established by former President Umaru Musa Yarádua Yar’Adua.”
I knew that the Avengers were just after what an who will line their pockets. Excluding the issue of the Maritime University, which I believe is germane, the other two points is just about money! The amnesty programme that has been reaked and riddled by corruption with phantom militia names collecting money, free money. The amnesty program should be recalibrated, let those genuine agitators, be given legit job, in the police, military or anywhere, they should work and get paid! The free money that should have be given the militants, can be used to equip the Nigeria Navy, and army to effectively police our Pipelines. Subsequently the FG should see it as a priority to develop these communities, truth be told, the goose that lays the Golden egg, should be adequately and legitimately taken care of

Shows he his not serious.. They gave him a letter to give to pmb and he his yet to deliver the letter... Instead of him to do the needful he rushed to the press to show he his rambo who went into the lions den... The avengers did not make public the meeting with the minister but the minister rushed to the press no wonder negotiations with rhetoric avengers keep breaking down... Instead of him to work quietly and achieve results before bringing the press in...

NDA will definitely come out with a statement to deny meeting with oga minister... grin

Well done Mr Minister.
It is sad to note that their brother was at the presidency for 6 years. All the monies voted for NDDC were stolen under his watch. that explains why there is a sign post for a school without any physical building.
The guy is brave sha!

Like I said: The reason behind the renewed militancy in the Niger Delta remains "Pipeline Protection Contract".. This is one chopping that the Presidency removed. This is just pure Blackmail. The COmmunity are simply saying pay us or we blow up the pipelines. grin If I were the President, I would deploy armed security to guard Pipelines and issue them a Shoot-to-kill order for any muthafucker caught fhucking with he pipelines.

The continuation of the Amnesty Programme is not feasible nor sustainable and should never have been started in the first place.

The Maritime University.. If they want it so badly, they should go and find out who in their community collect 13 Billion Naira for that Project first. They cant eat their cake and have it.
Hmmm so they Have even set aside 13 billions naira that has Being swallowed? na wa o yet they re busy bombing pipelines for What? na wa o

Why is it the work of sports minister to be doing that? Dambafraud, I mean dambazau should be the one doing that nah, but I know he's afraid of going there, the thief only come to steal kill and destroy, hardened thief and criminal. This era of change nepotism reign supreme...that for govt

No presence of govt there but their son was president for 6 yrs, they have governor, they have senator, they have rep, they have local govt chairman, they have state house of assemblymember, even they have councilor, they have NDDC, they ministry of niger delta....their fault I think.
Haters shaa, he's also the minister of Youth and Social development.
As a member of Buhari's Cabinet, he can represent the Govt.

Let's wait for d avengers to debug the issues on ground, moreover nepotism is d problem of SS I cud remember during my days in school some of my course mate were paid NDDC and some allowances every month lyk 100k plus while some r dying of hunger so mere blaming FG for every prob in SS is rubbish beside jona was der for some years nothing to write abt so y d pressure on buhari, brodas let's wise up and channel our grievance to right office

the problem of Niger delta people is their elites. I take for example, within d past 8years in anambra state, u will notice a great government presence and development strides in d state ranging from renovation of schools, roads, public transport system, security systems etc. anambra does not enjoy 13% derivation nor among d NDDC states yet its moving forward. the state runs itself principally with its IGR. Niger delta people are being played by their elites who make themselves super rich from funds marked out for that region. every year we are back to square one issue of how to develop Niger delta, militancy and co. me am tired of this cancerous boil on the way forward for this country.

It is natural to exhibit one's disaffection and feelings, it is also imperative to channel same amicably and accordingly.
However, an elite from the other part of the country will be curious as to what happens to the purposes behind the monthly 13% derivative allocations for oil producing states, effects of NNDC as well as impacts of Ministry of Niger Delta.
I appeal to my fellow country men from Niger Delta to sheathe their swords and ensure amicable resolution.
The political actors/dealers from Niger Delta must also have fear of God, and judiciously spend funds for the purpose for which they are meant and appropriated.
While FG should be sincere with the Niger Deltans, and accord them what they deserve as a people in fairness.

As a youth minister, I know there the Avengers are mostly youths who have potentials to be great citizens of this country.” undecided

While speaking on the level of degradation and poverty in the area, he said past administrations had been unjust to the Niger-Delta communities, adding,

“After going round some of the communities, I noticed that government projects were almost non-existent. I saw a secondary school signboard somewhere but the school is yet to be developed, the community has a clinic but still at the foundation level and a borehole that is not functional.”
The bolded really baffles me. What's the essence of th 13% they are getting then?
