Airlines at their own discretion will sometimes bump some passengers to a higher class without cost. This has personally happened to me a few times. |

It appears some people have difficulty in understanding English. This is from the write up The minister said even travels with Business Class tickets remained strictly restricted to only ministers, permanent secretaries, chairmen of Federal Government committees as well as chairmen and chief executives of parastatals and agencies. Hamid Ali falls in this category he the chief executive of an agency, so flying business class is no big deal. |

I dont give a hoot about politicians but he was probably upgraded. In this season of empty flights,it makes sense for BA or any airline to upgrade VIP's or top govt officials @no extra cost to them. Its an IOU in a sense. |

Anyone who knows the workings of the finance ministry know that Colonel Alli, the current Comptroller General of Customs has little regard for Mrs Kemi Adeosun, his supervising minister and current finance minister. I learnt he has little contact with her and jumps over her head to report direct to President Buhari. |

BlackSeptember:If I buy an Economy class ticket on Air France today, or any Sky Team Partner Airline, I get upgraded to Business Class (if there is space) by virtue of my Loyalty/Points/Miles status. I just became a Gold Elite plus member.. This is one way he may have landed in Business class (assuming he is a priority passenger). Another is that he pays the cost difference between the Economy class ticket purchased by the Nigerian Government and First Class Ticket. On how much does he earn.. That's a laugh. So you believe that his entire earnings comes from just being a Government appointee. I suggest you exercise you FOI rights and call up his asset declaration form from CCB. ![]() Uncle... How he can afford to fly Business Class is not my business as long as he does not back charge it to the Government of Nigeria. #Period. |

Abeg! Some Nigerians should stop this stupidity. What is so special about first class that ordinary hard working market woman can afford. Even if Hamid Ali is not the custom boss, first class ticket is something He can always afford if he chooses to. We should learn to focus on more relevant things, so that other countries wont be mocking our country. |
