The frontiers of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Oil producing Areas, Reject the Appointment Of Imo NDDC Rep.Sen.Osita Bonaventure Izunaso .
The group on Friday, kicked against the inclusion of Sen. Izunaso who come from ohakpu in oru west LGA which is a non oil producing local govt as a member designate to represent the State at the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The group said in a joint meeting between the two oil producing local govt areas of Imo state, agreed in strong terms that Sen.Osita Izunaso is not from the oil producing areas of Imo State where the position is strictly reserved for and rejected his appointment.
The statement was made and signed by the Chairman of the front Eze Ali James Nwanro and other members in his umudike palace Egbema.



The front on behalf of the two Oil Producing local govt Of the State wish to express our displeasure over the inclusion of one Senator Osita Bonaventure Izunaso as a member designate to represent Imo State on the Board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
"The said Sen. Izunaso is not from the oil producing area of Imo State where the position is strictly reserved for in accordance with the provision of the Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment etc) Act 2000 Act no 6 law of the federation of Nigeria, section 2 (1b)

"Which provides that ‘one person who shall be an indigene of an oil producing area to represent each of the nine oil producing states i.e. Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross-River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers’” the statement said.
The Association further asked President Muhammadu Buhari to order the withdrawal of the list and replace Sen.Izunaso with a credible person from the oil-producing Areas of Imo State.
"We also appeal to the Senate president Bukola Saraki, Distinguished Senator Hope uzodimma representing orlu zone of imo state and other distinguished members of the Senate to take note of this as it will amount to injustice to our people,"

But you read what the law says about NDDC appointments,that the person must come from oil producing area of which the said man is not part of.Because of his closeness with the president and an APC organizing chairman he was asked to bring someone from the oil producing area but the man decided to put his name instead.simply because he lost his Senatorial election to Senator Hope Uzodimma ..what a country

dats how poilitics roll sir,it happens everywhere....its by connection...the only difference is that in this country,the connected people are not performing.....politics is people you know everywhere in the world,we just have have useless people in high places in Nigeria

The man represented orlu Senatorial zone before Senator Hope Uzodimma kicked him out of these concluded election.He could not even bring a single project to the people.Simply because he lost the election Buhari decided to use it to settle him.Buhari knows these laws exist.Isnt that corruption? Buhari should learn to follow due process in his appointments.

you still don't get it....its politics!!!,someone suggested him to buhari and buharu appointed him....now why are you blaming buhari and not the one who suggested him to buhari?...that said appointments are made to compensate political cronies.That's how these things worK.The problem is that we have very useless political appointess in this country...Just do your bit and leave the rest to God
