Yet, the Poorest states in Nigeria and Educationally
backward areas in Nigeria are in the North. Now, ask yourself, what is the problem of the Northerners?

Western education is sin - boko haram

Their leaders don't want them to be educated so as to use them during election. It's a calculated attempt. Whereas, their leaders are educated and also sending their children to foreign expensive schools abroad.

I once lived in Bauchi state before so I know little about them.

The observed and perceived development in the South is due to the fact that the colonial masters settled in the southern part during d colonial/pre-Independence era, if not we would have been the same.

Infact that's is African mentality.

It's not peculiar to the north alone, it's everywhere. Nigerian leaders are just wicked, unfortunately, we the followers deify them on daily bases.

Take the Ibos, for example, with the highest numbers of Senate and Deputy Senate Presidents in Nigeria have not been able to secure their 6th states despite having their sons as the heads of the Constitutional Ammendments Committees,

Bayelsa despite having 8 local government, 13% derivation funds, taxes from International Oil Companies, immediate past President (GEJ), immediate past petroleum minister and one time transport minister (Diezani) is still owing people.

SW has been in opposition since independence, apart from OBJ 8 years yet it's still economically ahead of virtually all the regions

Very insightful. U ve made very solid points. I actually thought the Norths case of the worst, didn't know other regions suffer same. I guess it's a black man mentality to be a bad leader, either deliberately or due to lack of competence.
What's the way forward then? We can't continue like this u know. We ve to speak out. Things need to change for the better

They deceive their people with religion, that they shouldn't be after riches; so they enjoy the riches, make sure their children school abroad and feed their state people with food. And my brother that's how it will be in 20years time. That's why the south is more developed and exposed than the north.

Well, I think we are in the course of correcting the anomaly as many youths from the north sees formal education now as priority. But then, there is this growing tribalism sweeping the country. Nigeria's problem is beyond any person born of a woman, nature has to come into play

U are right. But the North has taken a gud first step, formal education. The rest will just fall in place.

masters in the South ?

Are colonial masters the once sponsoring
youths in schools in the south?

Are northern leaders not funding Islamic Scholes

You are right ..I remember when an uncle of mine was made the MD of a bank then I was serving people be like you no get problem na but when I finished serving he kept promising till he was dropped. From them I learnt to take my destiny in my hands
