While conception and giving birth is a sign of fruitful marriage in Africa,being pregnant for a period of time greater than nine months is rather abnormal.


The Lady pictured above is Nneka Udoh,a resident of Akwa Ibom who hails from Abia State,according to her she has been pregnant for a period of three years.

She narrated her ordeal as a curse laid on her by her mother-inlaw who never wanted her to marry her son.
The doctors she has visited so far are against surgery.

If your wife or sister is in this predicament,what are you going to do??

Pray! another important thing she must do is... em.. emm PRAY. Then the last she should do is to kneel, close her eyes and still pray. Prayer is the answer.

Thank you! It's so sad to see people referring to a known medical condition as "pregnancy". The woman has a big cyst in her stomach that needs to be taken out with the aid of surgery. This is absolutely nothing new

I doubt if any doctor will be against surgery for even a 10 months pregnancy.

Ignorance.
In this modern day and age a lot of Nigerians are still not well educated. Its not thier fault. I blame our leaders who have gone out to the outside world and seen how things operate there, and yet cannot imbibe same in our own country. Lord knows how many native doctors she would have visited and concoctions she would have drunk to worsen her state.
