EDUCATION SECTOR: Nigeria's brutal heroes killer.

Recent degradation in arguably all sectors prompts the attention seeking question, where are our potential heroes? Heroes are known during times of difficulty. Nigeria is currently going through some, we need our heroes. We will probably not find satisfactory answers until we are sure they are alive or dead due to the terrible education system.

Imagine a Nigeria with hundreds of Okonjo Iweala, Dora Akunyili, Akinwuni Adesina, Tony Elumelu, Godwin Emefiele, Pat Utomi, Nuhu Ribadu e.t.c. Recently, no Nigerian university was included in the top 1400 in the world, you surprised? A closed institution cannot be.

Where are our potential heroes? Semilore (a friend) says "THEY ARE AT HOME" not within the four walls of their various institutions. How can we refine these potential heroes when our schools are closed. Just this week, students of all AAU and FUTA were apprehended for 16 million naira internet fraud. Is this what our potential heroes have been reduced to? Students of public secondary school students in Oyo State have been at home for over two months until yesterday. Has it gone this bad? Remember, an idle hand is the devil's workshop. IT IS DISHEARTENING TO SAY, THE EDUCATION SECTOR HAS KILLED MORE POTENTIAL HEROES THAN DEATH. Isn't it an irony that a sector that is expected to groom these heroes is it's number one killer.

On behalf of all affected students across the nation, I appeal to all stakeholders of these institutions to come to a compromise.

Like Semilore, do you know where our potential heroes are? Please tell me. I hope they are not wasting (dying).
