BeazyBee:it should have been posted in the religious section but as a philosopher i will answer you****we do not claim to know things in philosophy without facts. we know because we have the evidence or facts and it is through this fact we support our claims |

A philosopher here. How do we know what we claim to know ? It's a pretty question of epistemology because you seeking knowledge. According to the Wisest man that ever lived, Socrates he said "The only one thing i know is i know nothing" so he went around Athens asking people on their opinion of random questions and how they knew because they all claim to know. But upon complex question by Socrates, he discovered they barely know what they claim to know and him knowing nothing is indeed wiser that people who claim to know but couldn't defend what they know. This led to Socrates asking questions about their religion/god which led to the government putting him to death so technically, Socrates was the first skeptic/freethinker/agnostic atheist. After his death, pluto and Aristotle embarked on knowledge prior to the legacy of Socrates and today Socrates is the reason we have schools. Back to answering your question Sorry sir, you don't know nothing, I too, I don't know nothing. The only time you know something is when you directly affected with that thing. Then you would have a first hand experience of knowledge and handy with facts. Other than that, your body is just a casing to your consciousness and it knows nothing. What do I mean? Nothing in the world is real, Nothing at all but your brain. Why is your brain real? You think! According to Rene Descates, he said " I think, therefore I am." So your brain is the reason you asked of things you want to know and you brain is also the reason you can't know somethings, Everything happens in the brain so therefore, you don't know nothing but exist because you think! Advice- Always ask people questions as regard what they claim to know and discover their knowledge of it is limited unless they have first hand proof. |
