Hi Guys. I Was Returning Home From Friday Night When My Accelerator Failed. I Drive A VW Beetle. How Do I Possibly Restore And Take It Home Before Mechanic Takes A Good Look At It. Am Hoping To Pass The Night In The Car By Road Side (last resort), Given Am Far Away From Home |

castrokins:If it is the 1970 model, just tie a rope to the butterfly (on carburetor) where the cable connects, stretch all the way to the driver cabin 1 hand to steer, the other hand to throttle angle.  If it is the fuel injected model, remove batt (wait 5mins) put it back start car and try again. If it still does not work, scan vehicle |
