It permits a person to be buried in his home but if there is a cementry close by, then its better for a body to be buried there. Allah knows best.

We only wrap the body in a mat when placing it in a carrier to the grave yard but not burry the body with it. The only thing burried with the body is the white cloth.

How am I supposed to know what they will do with it. All I know is that Muslims wouldn't burry with a coffin but like in the case of Muhammad Ali, it is sometimes used in coveying the corpse depending on the circumstances of the death.
