i haven't been able to login my mail with the email app that came with my phone. Each time I try I get this ERROR.

if you want to use manual set up then you must know the appropriate configuration. .
I will suggest that you download the Gmail app, another email app or go to your app manager and clear the app data of your email app..

You could try Auto mode instead of the manual route you are using. Gmail is also decent email app. If you want third party, go to Playstore and search for "TypeApp". Robust, customizable with a great interface.

It is a new Yahoo mail security check. Download the Yahoo mail app and use it to log in. They would have sent u an email that a 3rd party app was trying to log into ur acct. From the mail u can choose to authorize the use of 3rd parry app, that is only when u can use the native email app to log in ur yahoo.

I don't think so. It is the arguably the best client for yahoo mail especially if u want instant push notification. Every other 3rd party app would require fetch and not push notifications so u might end up missing important emails at the right time.

still showing same error. i even had to change my password still no avail

The mail is not the one sucking the MB, but the news. There is a news section in the app that drains the data. Merely opening it in 5 seconds and 10mb is gone or even more. The worst is that it also drain in background. I use yahoo weather app but yahoo mail app is a no for me
