EgunMogaji:
The whole site is 120v primarily. Fed by solar and supplemented by natural gas powered generator to recharge batteries or directly power 240v devices like air compressors and automotive lift.

#NoNepaZone
Can't wait to see this because I have heard a lot of people complained about how unliable solar panels ( as a result of unskilled installation) are in Nigeria.

My major components will be exported from here and I intend to supervise the installation by local installers very closely and will work with them day in and day out.

I'm hoping for the best.
I hope for the best too! Please do post pictures of panels and installation and positive feedback. I am currently looking at getting into a training workshop soon on solar system sizing and installation. My goal is to use Solar system to power certain components so as to reduce money spent on NEPA.

Reached roofing level finally, Allah Akbar.

Now to abandon the main house and flee back to the garage apartment and start sorting out the electricals and plumbing.

Great progress so far. I'm envious of how much space you have in your compound, looks so spacious and well thought out. I sacrificed size of land for location and I'm worried about my future tenants' comfort. For my personal project I want as much compound space as possible. Get back to it quickly o, this 395 to a dollar bonanza won't last long.

EgunMogaji:
Thank you Sir.
I'll be hands on and on the ground for the electrical and plumbing. In fact, I just need actual labourers (using the term loosely) to climb into the attic, break walls cleanly following pre-scribed and plumbed lines, etc and not "engineers" because this is going to be an unorthodox installation.
Very good... On ground.. is the right word. If anything is gonna go wrong it will be in your presence, no excuse from anyone.
But I have believe everything shall work out.

i think its a bad idea to try and install a 120v outlet. You are better doing everything in 240v. if power improves fine. if not, you can always get a 240v invert-er.

Also, a nice diesel powered gen still beats a natural gas all day especially in Nigeria.

Carson, California is the headquarters for MQ generators. Whisperwatt series. Or if you feel like splurging you can get KWIET/Shindaiwa gens. One of the quietest out there.

Just my 2 cents

So it appears that we have a horse thief in my hood.

I've been having water stolen on a regular basis but they've now been emboldened to stealing woods and iron rods angry

Guess what I'll be doing this morning naked and before eating anything?

Sir, how do you mean by diesel gen beats natural gas? Diesel is obviously more expensive than gas abi you get your own refinery ni?

@Oga Egun, what's going to be the source of your natural gas for the gen abi NGC pipeline pass through your site?

There's space underneath for now before landscaping that someone can crawl through.
I don't steal, rob or do Yahoo, just honest 8 - 5 and I hate when people steal from me.
At this point ALL are suspect.
Of course, stealing ones hard earned materials are not encouraged. Just block that space to deter them.
Nah small small before they big materials started walking away o. Seal the hole..
