Yes,the vanity crew would say vanity upon vanity... What they fail to understand is ,owing a rickety beetle car is vanity,same as owning the latest Range Rover sport;buying second hand clothes is vanity same way buying Zara,Elizabeth Arden or Victoria secret is also vanity;dring garri with groundnut or dried fish is vanity same way as eating fried or basmati rice with Chinese sauce are also vanity. So why can't I choose the best option which is more comfortable because all are vanity!

Touché. Exactly the point I was trying to pass across in my prequel comment albeit in a different approach on this thread. All these vanity talks are just bullsh1t.

These same people pass homeless beggars, orphanage homes and the extremely indigent of the society without dropping 50naira out of their 1k savings to them. They have more than one smart phones without giving one to the people who have got none. They have got different brands of new (not worn-out clothings) wears and never spare a thought for those who are wear rags as clothes. You have 3modu of garri and see your neighbour with her kids ravishing one cup and couldn't spare one modu for them. Instances are seamless.

They thing they have to be wealthy to help the needy or pander to their vanity upon vanity crap. You've got the money, you enjoy it as one likes. And if one must be prudent and kick against 'vanity' they should start by helping with the little they have.

You can auction your smart phones (and keep only one if you have two or more) and all electronic gadgets of yours and donate the proceeds to the less privilege.

Also donate a huge chunk of your savings to the needy (if you have more than a million naira) as they're in dire need of food items.

For those who own more than a car they should retail the others as they can do with just one and donate the proceeds to the orphanage home. Similarly, for landlords and other property owners etc etc. No one needs more than a house or car anyways and they aren't going to be buried with these acquisition. You agree? Yes?
