We were hoping it'll drop with time, but instead it increases. CBN floating policy is rubbish. I'm sure they'll soon be on par with black market rates. Ah no fit cry cry

Hi everyone,

Nice Forum.

I need help/info regarding family reunion visa.

I applied for a Family Reunion Visa in April 2016 and it's now 3 months and a week and no response from the embassy. I wrote a mail to the embassy and to this email address (info@lago.diplo.de ) last week Wednesday to confirm the status of my application and still haven't received any reply.

I started this whole visa process since last year October 2015, I submitted my documents for verification and in January this year I got a mail that the verification of my documents has been successfully concluded. I then applied for a German Marriage Certificate which was issued in March and after which, I applied for a Family Reunion Visa and had my interview in April 2016.

My wife is a German and she has gone to the alien office in her city where she resides and she was told there's a document that has to be verified without telling her how long it will take. But what baffles me is that, it was the same documents I submitted last year for the verification, I also submitted during my visa interview in April .

I'm sorry, I know this is quite a long message. Just want to give a detailed information.

Has anyone got this experience, please kindly give a candid advice.

Thanks.

Second, is it compulsory I fund my db account at once?

1. your question is very funny. ur friend can help u fund ur account as long as he/she is funding with Euros and sends the required amount. just like asking if someone can pay in money into ur Nigerian account for u.

2. compulsory if u are applying/applied for visa. if u change ur mind abt applying for visa den its not compulsory

Ur dollar dom account is not Euro dom account so u cant use it to makr ur db payment. Maybe u shld contact ur bank to advice u better. But if I may suggest u might av to convert ur dollar dom acct to Euro dom account to enable u transfer euro to ur db account and dis might entail u selling ur dollar for Euro. Just contact ur bank to give u more info.

She must possess atleast A1 German certificate as part of the embassy requirements.

I used to believe so too but I asked. This was the reply. I did share the screenshot of our emails back then.

@ azuka15, I have no idea. Curiosity about if my girlfriend could join me made me ask them.

Yes it's possible! Send the dollar equivalent and it's gonna reflect in euro as soon as it hits your blocked account.

Hello guys, did anybody who applied to Hamburg university of applied sciences (HAW) for masters in international business gotten admission response for winter 2016/2017... They said that they will send mails for acceptance/rejection of admission since 26 July and up till now nothing from them and I have sent mail to them without a repy.l Their Helios application portal still displays that the application is still under processing by the registarar. I don't think making it this winter is still feasible with German embassy issues,,,, anybody with ideas?? Thanks..
