Former Minister of Information, Chief Nnia Nwodo has said that Ndigbo have a lot of investments in Nigeria to ask for a sovereign state of Biafra, as being canvassed by some people and groups.

Nwodo, who made his views known yesterday at a town hall meeting in Enugu organised by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, for the South-East Zone, said that what the people needed was a Nigeria where there would be unity and even distribution of amenities.

He posited that Ndigbo had made a lot of investments at various parts of Nigeria to want to abandon them to opt for Biafra, pointing out that if Ndigbo were adequately accommodated as stakeholders, they would be contented.

What they NEED to learn most of all is RESPECT!!!. Respect other people's right to make choices that suits them and best serve their interests.. Self preservation is human's first instinct, no guard dog can watch over two residences at the same time..

Learn to accommodate alternative/ differing opinions and views.... everyone can't agree all the time, no one wins all the time & bridge building is KEY.

in fact Nwodo said it as it is, Igbos agitating for Biafra stermed out from misunderstanding of an Igbo man hustling spirit by other Nigerians.

Using Nairaland as case study, in events of crime that involves an Igbo people will be quick to call them all sorts of derogatory name ranging fake spare parts dealers to gala and yorghurt sellers.

But if the reverse is the case, watch the same nitwit claiming the person in question as a Nigeria and downplaying the person Igbo identity.

Other Nigerians called any thing produced by Igbos as second but will be quick to shout buy Niger to grow naira during the period of economic mess...... that is hypocrisy of exponential order.

Seems the tribal discriminations in Nigeria would make what he said impossible. The average Igbo man is a committed hustler, considered a rival and almost an enemy by most Nigerians, hence the agitation for Biafra is a good one, if they can manage it within themselves.
