Jupiter is the name of a Roman god, which i am very sure everyone including you believes is non-existent, the largest planet in our solar system is named after him.

I dont see anybody turning an eye, why should they because of B.C or A.D

Exactly same with your views on using Thursday named after the Norse God Thor.

Thor's day.

Between though i hold a view that a man probably named Jesus existed within that timeline, possibly a revolutionalist who was insubordinate to the jewish priestly class and roman colonial authority and for that was possibly crucified by the Romans, the one on whose all these legends were heaped on, by his followers.

This doesn't mean i believe of such a figure being a deity or son of a god, that is the obvious myth in the fable.

He's not the first man to be deified by the enthusiastic followers, in fact being born of a god was the highest conferment of honour on an individual.

There have been several hundreds of men in history deified and said to be born of a union between a god parent and a human parent.

That's totally rampant during those days.

@Promise,

Was that meant to be evidence for the Wood mason?(Jesus christ)

1.The Hindus regularly talk about a period known as the Kali Yuga(Age of Kali)!!! Now Kali was the blood sucking goddess of death!!! Is that evidence of her existence?!!!

2.You must have heard of a religion known as Thelema!!! All thelemites speak about the Aeon of Osiris(Age of Osiris), which ended about 2,000 years ago!!! Is this proof of the existence of Osiris?!!!

3.The Gnostics talk alot about the age of Aquarius!!! It is said that Aquarius lives in the heavens and pours his jug of liquid knowledge on earth!!! But if such a jug exists, how come the contents did not reach the guys who were eating grass like goats in South Africa?!!!

4.The Roman month of March, ia dedicated to Mars, the god of war!!! Tge roman month of June, was dedicated to the goddess of marriage, Juno!!! The month of january is dedicated to a god with 2 heads!!! So does that mean the 2 headed god existed on Earth?!!!

Tomorrow, when atheists accuse you guys of not reading wide, you will claim that you have read all your pastors books!!!

Well i just opened this thread to show some historical proof of Jesus. If you study well as you guys claim(roman history precisely) . You would see that Jesus was actually given birth to around 4B.C (due to some approximations the founder of the BC/AD system gave it wasn't accurate.)
When jesus was born, Augustus Caesar was in power if you read your history well
I would like to quote this part of the bible
Luke 2:1-5
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus(27bc-14ad), that all the world should be taxed.
[2] ( And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
[3] And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. [4] And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David
[5] To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
it could be seen here that Augustus Caesar was really in power while Mary was pregnant. Not to talk of king herod the great who was also the king of judea(historical) when Jesus was born.
I would also like to quote this portion of the bible
Luke 3:1
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cæsar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judæa, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
history has it that tiberius Caesar ruled from 14ad-37ad, history also has it that after Herod I, the romans divided hiskingdom btw his 3 sons, philip, herod antipas and Archelaus(not a tetrarch). Historically, lysanias was the tetrach of abilene. Pontius pilate was also the governor of judea(all these people were in power in tiberius's 15th yr.
.
I would like to also raise a point about the Martyrdom ofvthe saints. These aren't in the bible. We got it from historical evidence. You could check out on the reign of emperor nero and tacitus(a non-christian roman historian) passage on christ. I'm already tired of typing.
At least, these are facts. Not faith as you always ask for.

i have no problem with that,it's fun btw. The Olympic games were dedicated to the olympian gods. But in this scenario, BC wasn't "dedicated" to christ, it was a point in history.
