A Federal High Court, Abuja, h remanded in Prison custody two alleged fake drug dealers. The suspects, Monday Enuma and Ikechukwu Adibe were arraigned on four and five-count charges respectively, by the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba.

They pleaded not guilty, when the charges were read to them. In view of their plea, NAFDAC prosecuting counsel, Umar Shamaki moved an application for their remand. Justice Dimgba, consequently, ordered that the two accused persons be remanded in prison custody, pending the hearing of bail application.

Enuma, according to the charge, was arrested at 15, Club Road, in Sabon Gariý area of Kaduna State, Adibe on his part was arrested at 82, Atiken Road, Sabon Gari, Kano state. They were arrested for selling fake Augmentin, Syrum, Alabukun, Septrin and Ampiclox.

The offence according to the charge signed by Samson Philip Maken from the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation is contrary to sectioný 1 (a) of the counterfeit and fake drug and unwholesome processed foods (Miscellaneous provision) Act, Cap C34, LFN 2004 Act and punishable under section 3(1) of the same Act. The case has been fixed for August 5 for bail application.

No wonder they get killed like chicken weekly in Indonesia while their families back in alaigbo shed crocodile tears instead of warning their youths against such vices. The self acclaimed hard working people see drugs and criminality as a means to an end when their region is not resourceful. I wonder what kind of evil country biafra will be if ever declared
