Arsenal has completed the signing of Nigerian under 17 player Kelechi Nwakali for an undisclosed fee from Diamond Football Academy.

Arsenal were believed to have waited till he turned 18 to finally complete the signing.

Kelechi was involved in the Nigerian team at the just concluded Fifa U17 tournament, where he captained the team to glory.

Doesn't change the fact Assnal will finish 4th this season...Happy for the youngsters.

All successful European League winners often have African players in their ranks.

Manchester United and Ed Woodward should take a fvcking leaf out the Book and sign some African Youngsters DAMMIT

Don't expose your ignorance, a successful club like Assnal goes for the absolute best and that includes some of the best athletic genes in the world...he might look more developed but he's 18 and has your brain thought that these players go through MRI to confirm their age?
the boy's like 25 abeg,sabi sabi,mri scan?That shit can be tampered wit.

You can put Coquelin or El - neny on the bench.

It's in you.

You are Kelechi Nwakali, the MVP at the just concluded U-17 world Cup.

No, I meant youngsters with raw talent not established players like them.

Our current academy is CRAP.

Firstly, the MRI scan is not an absolute indicator, it gives you a predictable age range without taking cognisance of impacting factors nutrition, health and wellbeing etc. For instance, a youngster brought up in the West, Europe North America will have a high protein diet including lots of milk(calcium).

As a consequence, most UK teenager’s bones will see bone mass development a lot quicker than their African counterparts who would have been malnourished comparatively.

This being the case if you were to use the average Caucasian parameters for bone mass development in teenagers in the west. That means it is probable that a village boy of 22/23 can easily pass the MRI scan with his lower bone mass density, even be classed in the 15- 17-year age range.

There is a huge number of talented young footballers of African origin in the UK who don’t always get an equal chance to excel racism, corruption, etc consider the Pogba sag. The preference for a money deal BOTH ON TOP THE TABLE AND UNDER IT, yes even in the UK supersedes the quest for the best players.

France possibly has less people of Black African origin than the UK yet their academies are overwhelmingly dominated by Africans, that is very far from the case in the UK. The more North you go in the UK the more pronounced it becomes far less kids of African origin.

The video below is PSG youth team in celebration tells the story comparative to the UK.
