That last change by Coach Siasia was bad. He should watch such changes. That is the worst time to pull out a defensive midfielder for a central midfielder.

He should have kept Mikel deep, close to shield the defence.

Congrats Boys. After a Frustrating day, you Broke into the next morning with Joy.

Heroes. Jet Lag plus The Brazilian Heat.

Let's try and commend this boyz. They arrived few hours to the match and still went on the field to play compared to their opponent who have arrived weeks and had a lot of acclimatisation on their weather and more training session.

Good job boyz!

This is a wonderful result considering what we had to overcome to even get here

It just shows in General that,, though I might be a lil bit myopic, I feel that with our population and the right management, we should actually be the 1st sub saharan country that becomes a developed country

This is what our guys in politics won't understand... When it comes to unity, Naija can Unite for life we just need that backing or no padding of budget or no raising of our kids to dislike another tribe

We are a great nation; pardon my enthusiasm, but I am among one in a million who feels 9ja is a gr8 nation despite our shortcomings, its so bad because if the british actually decided to stay with us we did be a developed nation..

See the power of sports?! don't underestimate it, it shows a true reflection of our character despite our numerous ethnic mosaic.

kudos to d boys, dey reality tried given d circumstances and problems dey went tru, dey still made us smile at least dis early morning. my only anger is d way dis foreign clubs frustrated siasia because seriously if only dey had release balogun, omeruo and d likes we won't concead 4 goals BT all in all dey tried at least we top d group wit 3 points. even d Brazilians re nt spectacular BT d defence needs serious improvements.

There is definitely something wrong with our football.

After dis kind of result and the one involving d flying eagles against Sudan, I won't be wrong to say something is definitely amiss with naija football recently.

can't we just employ a bit of tactics and structured defensiveness into our game?

Must we be all out to attack always?

This is why we need a foreign coach to inculcate these values into our players.

Last bullet..... if Mikel is in dat team and we still conceded 4 goals, then there was no need taking him to d Olympics in d first place cos his relevance is not felt afterall.
Na so I see am....

Best thing naija has ever done for me in football. I saw this match. I even predicted Naija as the overall winner at 21.00 odd. Quite unfortunate I played with just 1k

Bros Mikel wasn't playing defensive role, he was playing as an attacking midfielder.... Still within that position, he was careless and lose the ball too much, as it been he was on defensive duty, he would have caused more harm.... Judging from the way u stood like boss on the pitch and shading two players before losing the ball......

To me, Mikel is not improving as a player....to bossy for my liking

Exactly. Let Etebor Take the Ten Role. Usman, Ezekiel and Sadiq Umar attack. I feel the team will be balanced this way and leak less goals.

That is what I was saying. As the time was running out, Mikel should play deeper. Taking out Mikel for Popoola was a wrong change and defeats us trying to prevent a goal.
