Thatz nonsense on the part of the army, how can you come for an operation in a villiage without informing the village head................,if truly u hv come in peace,if u were to be a landlord and just because a vigilantee group dat was just posted to community to curb arm robbery attack in the community enters your compound without pre-informing you and you opened a "bajinotu" fire on him, tell me,WHO IS AT FAULThuh? You need to listen to the people's report and carry them along in opertion (they can even offer you intelligence report),how on earth are they supposed to know the difference between the NA and herdmen when the herdmen also use NA camo. Sometimes,Wait, and be killed againhuh
The villagers acted very correctly

Bloodshed everywhere in Nigeria. Nigeria has become a sacrificial shrine for its citizens.

I just hope it's not the army and the herdsmen that are being used to commit this nefarious acts by the powers that be. Could it be that the Fulanis informed the army of arms in tge village so it will be cleared to ease their planned mission to tge village? Or that the army actually came with the intention of wiping the villagers under the guise of herdsmen before the villagers action bursted it?
Because if such a clash have been on for a while around there and uniform personnels did not come to the aid or liase with the villagers until their resolved to adopting self defence then something is wrong somewhere and it goes beyond what we are hearing now.
This and many questions beg for answers coz it's amazing that of all the said herdsmen attack carried out have been done neatly without traces as though they are professionals.
God will sure expose every evil act in no time

every criminal is a fulani herder that's what some people believe in .. That's how all sort of criminals, be it armed robbers, thieves, kidnappers, etc will come and attack a community and if they manage to escape, the blame will be on fulanis. The useless village people met their Waterloo while trying to massacre what they mistook as fulani not knowing that it is a superior fire power that faced them.
just read d nonsense u wrote.huh

The security system is a mess, the army never knew that particular village had been attacked by armed people before, but the police knew! Someone informed the army that they have weapons in the village, the army did not liase With the police to investigate but sent their own armed troops to the village!!! Stupidity or deliberate conspiracy to kill those officers missing or intimidate the villagers

Not everybody in d north is abokii as many of u like to portray. Beji people are Gbagyi. The same people that are the indigienes of d FCT. Believe me too, they are VERY brave and STRONG and wonderful yam farmers. I have lived 4 27yrs in Bosso Local Govt and I know d fulani's will never have d kinda free ride they get with Benue people with these ones.

When the government has blatantly refused to deal with the issue of rampaging killer Herdsmen this is what happens. Civilians take up arms to defend their territory, women and children.

Something as simple as condemning the attacks will reduce the impetus for further attacks. States with occurrences of attacks should ban these killers in totality and invest in ranches.

It is only when there are retaliatory attacks on the herdsmen you see these soldiers ordered into action. Don't be surprised if the the soldiers raze the village because of this.
My Broda, you just spoke the truth and proffered a lasting solution to this problem. All governors should empower their people and herders to go into cattle ranching business. Herdsmen cannot continue to kill us because we eat their meat and ponmo. There are no Fulani's in Texas and they have abundant ponmo and meat. Any state governor that refuse to invest in ranching is the real enemy. I don't think Nigerians know that for every ponmo and meat they consume, a farmer, father, brother and friend has been killed.

This is how it should be, every community should make efforts to defend themselves since govt can no longer protect us. Nobody has monopoly of brutality. Nigerian army should tell us the truth, why they sneaked into a community at 1am. If they had succeeded in that operation the news would have been that fulani herdsmen dressed in military uniform attacked the village. The truth is now coming out....who really is this fulani herdsmen? smh

It is so. That has been the modus operandi of the Nigerian army from Jos now to Niger. They disarm and even jail armed villagers making them vulnerable to Herdsmen attack.

The Tiv people of Benue and The Birom people of Plateau were also brave people but have been subdued with time by the Fulani military might. There seems to be a strategy to subdue all the minorities in the north central to get easy access to the very fertile land.

The beroms haven't been subdued. The Tiv's I must confess are alarmingly docile to me. The Gbagyi's on d other hand wont wait to be killed. The moment it starts getting hotter, they will take the fight to every fulani man they can track around Minna. I'm only scared of d collateral damage.

The assessment of the Villagers is quite current, if the vehicles of the Military had not been burnt or damaged there would have been no evidence that the Military is often involved in all these so called Herdsmen attack.
Now the military is reacting because the villagers had reacted by organising to defend themselves. This is cruel. Indeed we are creating a monster in this country if solders under what ever authority go into community to wipe out a community under what ever guise.

It is wrong and condemnable, it is immoral, it is unfair, unexpected of a nations armed forces, they are to act in public interest and not take sides.
