Have u ever used an lg phone? I bet u haven't. They have good hardware but software is where they have problem. They try so much to put everything in their phones but the software just lacks that something special, meanwhile Samsung just perfected their software. LG took a risk with the g5 but unable to break the market because the hardware is a hit or miss, they should let Motorola teach them how to make modular phones with the moto Z force. The G4 was also a hit and miss with the leather back, again poor software. Galaxy s7 edge is a far better phone in terms of design and performance than the g5.

And don't even put Sony against Samsung... Can u tell me a major innovation Sony has made in the smartphone world?at least the s7 edge has a curved screen, better camera, hear rate monitor, wireless charging, support for gear vr, etc. What has Sony got? Their flagship phone is sony xperia x performance with 3gb of ram, 1080p display (when s7 has qhd), ips when Samsung uses amoled. Sony phones have nothing against Samsung phones dude.

Only htc has actually done well this year with the htc 10 and that is the only phone from the big oems that can match the galaxy s7 edge. But the note series are on another level.

Next the new s7 boast of 30mins of being water resistant but the phone once submerged for 28mins it packs up and cannot be turned on ever again.

Tecno camon c9 borrowed HTC desire eye idea of having a 13MP front and back camera with flash.

Anywayt from what I see on the market I am pretty sure that in two years time Samsung Note series will have a super strong competitor that they will have to sit up and get very busy

AMOLED display panels are highly degradable, they suffer burn-in.

Yes Samsung had lots of bloatware and I hated it, but have u used new Samsung devices from s6 upwards? Minimum bloatware and at the moment,at least for me touchwiz is the best . The only UI I like after touchwiz is sense. I've been using my s6 for more than a year now.. I didn't root it, I haven't had any reason to hard reset it and the phone still works like when it was new. #ZEROLAG.

Agreed Sony made the first waterproof phone (with lots of covered ports lol) and that was great... But still not enough to sell phones for them or give them market share. And htc have NEVER been great in the camera department... It has always been error since they tried to adopt the ultrapixel nonesense. Thank God they finally learned with the HTC 10. Samsung have always been consistent in the camera department year in year out. Whenever there's a lost of top 5 camera phones u will alwasy find a Samsung phone there. And why not? It happens with every products. Some of these phones are bought on contract with fake documents, and then shipped to Nigeria and sold for full price. Also u have 30 days return policy on some products, so when u return before the 30 days, the phones are resold as refurbished.

Dude,u seriously do not expect a huge change on phones on yearly basis. Technology has grown so much such that adding new features is becoming difficult. 4gn of ram has already become the standard, I know u were expecting Samsung to make it 6gb of ram for the note 7 but they maintained the 4gb which is a good thing. Samsung is already a big company, they don't need to add ram just for the sake of it and to attract buyers. 6gb of ram is not needed now, maybe for the next implementation by then they would probably use 4k display.

Of the just keep making major upgrades at a fast pace, then by 2018 we would probably have 16gb of ram phone lol. Let other companies that are looking for buyers keep increasing the ram unnecessarily.

The truth is the phone displays at 1080p most of the times and only displays at 4k when u watch a 4k video with the inbuilt video player. Now how many people would actually have a 4k movie on their phones? A 2 hrs true 1080p movie will take like 6gb. A 2hrs 4k movie will take around 4 times that space,so we are looking at 20gb plus for a full 2 hrs 4k movie. Abeg how many 4k movies can u carry on a phone? U are better off watching it on blu ray.

Can u see the 4k on display? Nope. The homepage runs on 1080p (not even qhd). The 4k is just a marketing gimmick. What's the point of 4k when it doesn't even display on the homepage? That is not innovation if u ask me. The curved screen of the s6 edge is still s better innovation. Nothing still beats the s pen on the galaxy note, Samsung started the split screen and pop of videos .. that is true innovation.

And talking about the g3, I used it for about a year before it got stolen. It's a great phone no doubt, it has a lot of features (Q memo being on of my favorite features), but the phone suffers from memory management and it stutters sometimes. I struggled to keep up to 3 apps in memory without the app reloading.

Most of these phones were designed mostly for users in developed countries where high tech are in common use.

I repeat, the G3 still has one of the best softwares out there. There have been countless updates+android M. All the issues of lag that you mentioned (which i never experienced on mine, a 3gb ram/32 gb storage variant) or high battery consuption which some users complained about are gone! LG does not throw its customers under the bus. They continually push out OTA updates. i even received one last night again.

When checking comparisons of benchmarks, do you read figures or stream video reviews to access for fluidity?

It's just like people choosing Nikon over Canon of the same class based on Dxomark scores. Dxomark just compiles average scores of this and that to show figures but not test shots.

I'm not saying s7 is not great. It's better in focus, some low light sceneries but majority and even an average Joe will put g5 above s7. Doubt me? Read user reviews of both and check what people worship most in each phone.

dude. the world over knows g5 knocks s7 edge on camera quality even without the module. It's all over youtube. where did you i think i screen-captured pictures on first page from...my ass?. It seems you are reading stuffs off some blog site instead of watching real HQ review videos on youtube.

I can post more than 20 quality videos (if nairaland allows) of comparison test from some of the biggest phone review sites on youtube of lg5 camera owning the 7 edge. i was trying to save you some mb , hence posting pictures since internet service is crappy in Nigeria.

The s7 edge might be the top phone in the world at the moment, but it does lack in some areas e.g the camera and it breaks easily when it falls due to the glass all over its body. Those are facts.

i understand jare. Right now note 7 is already is already here, and mobile phone companies have been pushing customers for upgrade or pre-order. Samsung and mobile phone companies are trying to use the world phablet to give the note 7 a soft landing when the difference in the screen size with that of s7 is just 0.2inch. i.e 5.5 vs 5.7. You can imagine..I would be pissed off if just got a 7 edge on contract or brand new and passed the 15 days return policy...lol.
