Nice thread guys. Just happened to bump into this discussion accidentally and I liked it. I am also a seller on Fiverr...my 2nd year in the business and I'll like to share my 2 cents with you guys, for whatever it might be worth.

Here my are top tips on becoming successful on Fiverr:

1. Show up EVERY SINGLE DAY! -- The fact is that your first few weeks on fiverr might not necessary turn the corner for you. Reason? There are thousands of other sellers too, who like you want to make money, so the competition is initially stiff. However, many new sellers are merely wantrepreneurs or opportunity chasers, who will jump out after 1 week if the money doesn't start rolling in. So you can eliminate up to 70% of direct competition by simply showing up EVERYDAY!

2. Split Test Sales and Marketing Strategies -- Fiverr could be hard, very hard if your strategy is to simply open an account and wait for the orders to rush in. From experience, you'll need to come up with a strategy. You need regular sales? Try launching marketing campaigns to increase the traffic rate coming to your Fiverr gigs. And don't be scared, these marketing campaigns won't cost you money, atleast most won't. I am talking about simply marketing your brand (Yes, that's what you need to position yourself as, pal...You are a BRAND!) on Linked-in and Linked-in groups that are similar to the services you provide.

E.g, a graphic designer should join business start-up groups/ SME groups on linked-in. Other online sites where you could market your brand are facebook groups (similar to Linked-in), and online forums. If you'll however like to step up your game, I suggest launching low-cost Twitter and Facebook ads (A budget of 5000 NGN will do the trick). For paid ads, you goal will be to get lots and lots of traffic (gig clicks and impressions). This in turn will float your gigs to the top of fiverr's search engine...Result? More $$$, pal!

3. Be professional about EVERYTHING! -- I'll keep this one short. Hey, don't treat your fiverr business anyhow! You've to bring in professionalism to the table, pal. Everything needs to be professional: Account name, Profile picture, Gig setup (description et al), buyer correspondence, etc. I'm sure you get the point. If you don't build credibility for your brand, you won't stand out, and if you can't stand out, don't expect customers with big wallets to stop by.

But there's something I usually come across when people talk about opening accounts with USA nationality. (I'll need to open an account with USA nationality because what I offer isn't possible to get as a Nigerian and I fear mistrust)

They say 'you must open the fiverr account with USA IP'. Does this mean that I have to get VPN software to change my IP before creating the account and also having to constantly change IP whenever I log in to my fiverr account.

For guys using foreign IP via proxy server, I will advise you to read about webRTC peer connection (Google it).

Bottomline is it's still possible for Fiverr to get you real IP if you have webRTC enabled. I'm not sure if Epic Browser offers protection against it.

Open Mozilla, click on the menu sign that looks like a stack of horizontal lines at the top right of your browser, click add ons, click extension, search for zenamte at the search bar, download to your browser, install and restart browser. It will show a new zenmate sign at the same menu area. click it and switch to usa or whatever country available you wish.

To open more than one account on the same pc. use private mode to log in n out. To remain on different accounts at the same time, you can log in with normal mode on one and private mode on another, same with chrome..incognito browsing is the name for private mode here. Been doing this for 4 years.

If you are operating single account. I think you can just enable the zenmate to your desire IP. no need to constantly changing it.

I woudn't mind if someone could offer to review my account on fiverr. I am now at the 9th order within a month of joining. The 9th buyer just left one 'stupid' review that is scaring away others. The first statement was that "I delivered the order late from agreement". This was not a custom offer. She ordered for the Gig through normal process. I delivered the order 8 hours before the time but she wanted me to deliver it maximum of 10 hours before the contract time (3 days). Although she gave me 5-star for a good job but the late comment appears to be scaring potential buyers away. The annoying thing is that it is the first review to be seen by buyers. I need a new review that will counter that with 'fast delivery review'. Who can sincerely help me with this. This will also take me to level 1 as I already completed 9 orders with 5.0 rating?

Hello @HazzanTazzan, Fiverr gives writers a gig option to sell the copyrights of your work. You'll find that option on the gig setup page. Although for me, I always give my buyers full access and copyrights to my work at no extra charge to them. Hope this helps!
