Pls note that I dont have anything against Islam as a religion, and muslims in general. In fact I have lots of good hearted Muslim friends.

However, I find it pretty annoying and uncomfortable that most times I strike up a lil convo with people I meet on daily bases either in the cause of my work (I meet alot of people daily due to the nature of my work) or on social grounds, and when we get to introduce our selves by our names. I.e after the long gist, argument or convo. (I stay in the north)

I usually see this shock on his or her face, and when I ask why the surprise looks, they would say they thought I was a Muslim. (At this moment I feel so u uneasy). Their reason(s) usually boils on the premise that I look calm, gentle and easy-going (Am a lil bit bearded tho. Lol).

Pls this does not call for bashing, am just lending letters to my long lived worrisome thoughts.

As much as I respect islam as a religion, embracing islam is not in the pipe line for me pls

I have the same problem: people assume I am Christian when I am atheist. If I don't feel like creating a problem then I just smile and go along. If I am in a more combative mood then I tell them straight away I am atheist.
