Good day guys, I noticed that the coolant reservoir of my car (honda accord 98) is at MIN level yet it's always full at the radiator. Now, iv checked for leaks the much I can but can't notice any. My question is- should I just refill the reservoir with a new coolant, or o a total flush, or is there a reason(negative) for the low coolant in the reservoir? Thanks for your anticipated contributions |

ukata16:fill up to the max mark and monitor how fast it drops. possible leaks spots are where your hoses join pipes (clamps), radiator cap, leaking coolant bottles and bad gaskets. |

ukata16:Do a leak down test. You may have blown your head gasket otpr warped your engine. |

@9icetoo and kingreign thanks so much. @kingreign what's a leak down test? Will it also show the blown head gasket or warped engine? Or how do I check those too? Thanks |

ukata16:Your water pump gasket is probably warped. Carefully inspect that area, you will see the leakage. Sometimes, these leakages are not immediately obvious but with a detailed attention, you are likely to spot them. |

afoxy81:Check your radiator cover to ensure it's still good. Also inspect all water hoses. Leakage could be internal or external. If you are unable to locate it, find a competent mechanic to perform pressure test to determine the kind of leakage & the specific location. |

honmusa:I'd prefer abro radiator coolant to that piece of green coloured water labelled total radiator coolant. It has no lubricating properties for the water pump. |
