Her timing is poor compared to others....hence her chances of getting gold is ultra slim.

However, she is a trailblazer and has done well for the country...

23-year-old Chierika Okogu, who made history as the first rower to represent Nigeria at the 2016 Olympics Games, has advanced to the next round of events.

This is a big one for the country and we hope she represents us fully well and maybe get to the finals. She looks fir for that anyways.

She does not have to get to the final before she's celebrated. This young lady has made history for qualifying to the next round in an activity not practiced in her country
I salute her courage and am inspired by her effort to pull this through.wonder if the Nigeria Olympic committee provided any financial assistance for this brave young lady

Ask the Nigerian Olympic Committee. They only attend international conferences and collect bonuses. They don't help out athletes to fulfil their dreams or bring honour to our land.

she's not based in Nigeria and from that tweet I think she attended a well respected school (Stanford) where such sports are taken seriously. History is about to be made, I wish her the best.
