...know who you'll talk politics with in case of nigeria! recently, when i travel to a country, i take a bus although nobody know his co-chair sitter because it's in the night, so when sun rise, we stopped to pray as tradition of the people there, it was when got back into the bus that i know i was sitting with my fellow nigerian, i greet him, hello bros! how are you? he said: fine, how far the family? they were feeling fine,he said; business? he said we are managing o!, everything is cordial and i feel at home. But this didn't last long before i realise am in wrong hand! thing go sour when i asked about the situation in nigeria! how is nigeria situation today? he cry in loud voice 'what nigeria! the zoo of the dullard president? the zoo will fall soon! let me tell you stupid! biafra is now or never! louder and louder his voice become intense, all the passangers in the bus looking at our direction, even the driver is looking at us through his centre mirror! i was shocked and embaras, God so good he didn't arm i would have gun down! so in this confused situation i plunged myself to, i was pray in mind for God to safe me; try to calm him down but it's like pour petrol on fire! he speak igbo in angry , it was then that people intervene, one said, what went wrong, are you not from the same country! before we arrive at the destination, i was awake watched all his body motion to avert been attack, we arrive at destination and everybody part-away! this was a mistake i've ever made in journey! |

SharkTank:It's not a divide and rule tactics, its simply the truth. What is in for other minority groups in the Niger-Delta? Because at the last count over 90% of the amnesty booty were cornered by the Ijaws. And virtually every government top positions accruing to the Niger-Delta as a fall out from the struggle were also cornered by them. The Niger-Delta were compensated with a Vice-Presidental slot as part of the gains of the struggle. Ex-President GEJ an Ijaw man was handpicked to represent the region by OBJ. 2) On assuming the Presidential seat after the death of Yar'adua, the following key positions were handed to the Ijaws. Ministry of Petroleum, the Ministry of Niger-Delta and NIMASA etc. 3) The bulk of the militants from other ethnic nationality were abandoned and forgotten while Ijaw militants like Boyloaf, Tompolo, Asari Dokubo and Ateke Tom became billionaires overnight through amnesty deals. 4) Over 95% of ex-militants sent on scholarships overseas were of Ijaw extraction. 5) Over 99% of youths on the amnesty payroll were Ijaws. So how then do you want other minorities to remain silent. The same thing the Ijaws accuse the three big majorities of doing in sharing of the national cake, is the same thing the Ijaws do when giving an opportuinity. Ijaw agenda needs to be seperated from the agenda of other ethnicities that constitute the region. |

The FG should move into the ND and start to carry out massive projects simultaneously without stopping. The people should see what the FG is doing physically and not on pages of news papers or on TV. If the common man from ND can see projects springing up to better their lives, I am very sure the militants won't have any choice than to retire as they won't be able to have any excuse to bank on for blowing up pipelines. Employ ppl from the region to work on these projects and make sure you pump in money and monitor to see that the money is not being embezzled. If the FG can do this genuinely and people can see and the militants still continue to blow up pipelines, then we know they are fighting for selfish interest and then the FG will launch a massive attack on the militants. Different militants will always spring up if the FG doesn't show seriousness in developing the ND. Enough of all this talk talk and setting up of useless committee. Start work and make the place look extremely beautiful. |

olad54:Leave them with the so acclaimed 'na we get the oil' mentality, majority of them can't even spell the oil correctly, these are people being pampered by oil companies, their youths are flaunting around Shell or other notable multinational ID as contractors, despite their iletracy, naivity and gross brainlessness. We all saw what happened to people of Rumuekpe in Emohua local government. Companies have a choice to shutdown operation and quit ur communities as requested. But I tell u, after chasing everyone away, the worse damage that will follow is weighing war against urselves, even electricity workers wnt step their feet on such cursed land not to talk of investors. And when that happen, they still blame lack of basic amenities on government. The damage of one minute might take a whole lifetime for proper recovery. These guys need to learn from Rumuekpe and Warri cases.. |

wristbangle: This is the kind of news we often get from UGU and ATOMIC BOMB republic. New headlines... New militant group emerge (Niger Delta hawk hoogan), vows to roast NNPC pipeline and refinery. Export of ugu hit 7 trillion dollars, highest record of all time. You forgot to add rice production when there is no rice plantation owned by the state government. |

This man sounds like one who is jealous of the ijaws because the government wants to negotiate with them!!! If not cowardice what stopped him from agitating when the ijaws were? He doesn't seem serious with the fight to bring government to develop his place rather he is fighting because the government seems to have terms with another tribe!!!! Hatred among ourselves when we suppose to plan and struggle together to develop our region. |
