Insha Allah, come 2019 ,even if PDP carry Alampasu as their Candidate. I'll vote him for president.
The hardship is outrageous. Every household has confirmed it.
Every minister has no direction, imagine Mohammed telling us he would create 1m Jobs through our Cultural festivals .
Fashola said aggrieved citizen should channel their complaints to Mr Cassandra
It's been confirmed fuel price will soon rise to #165 naira
My gf can't even tell me to send her small bar for her upkeep due to present Exchange rate of Dollar.
I can't even send my parents money coz na manage mesef dey.
No increase in Salary, inflation everywhere. I have not saved money since Mr. Cassandra enter office.
Nothing is working any longer.
It really hurt.

My main concern is the dollar rate... Getting goods into the country is just not easy for us the importers... I pray everything goes fine...
That's exactly the idea, to stop you from importing more so you can look for how to manufacture whatever it is you import in Nigeria instead.

Blaming the present govt is not the solution.

Nigerians like imported things too much and supported corruption at all levels for over 40 years.

The most important statement in the write-up is that "we don't print dollars"

Demand of $2.5 billion dollars per week is not sustainable. The oil wealth was stolen and mismanaged for 40 years. There is no savings or investments.

Nigeria has now become a poor country. If oil continues to drop in price. The exchange will be over #1000 Naira to the dollar similar to other African countries with no oil or tangible means to attract foreign currency.

Why is it only during Buhari's regime that the country reaps the fruit of past mismanagement?

I know for a fact China pumped billions into their industries to take off. That was in the late 90s to early 2000s,they are just reaping the fruits of their labour. They called it their going out policies. They sunk billions into electricity, communications and businesses , now they are self reliant. I worked for the Chinese government telecoms company here in Nigeria once. Here the government frustrates you with high taxes, the banks frustrates you with high interest rates there is no electricity. So the cost of production is high. The good can't stifle innovation yet delude itself that it will be like China.

So true my brother.

Some of the same people complaining about this govt and economic situation participated in destroying the country.

They hailed and enjoyed proceeds of corruption by their friends, family members or someone from their tribe.

How can u produce when we don't have steady power? Considering the cost of production in this country, importation is far more cheaper. Being a producing state is a gradual process and not abrupt as thi govt want it. U will only end up starving the masses
well, the govt is not stopping importation bt discouraging it so has for local factories to develop, it can't continue to subsidise the dollar, dats the main reason we are suffering, rice importation is not banned bt reduced,so is fuel As for power instability, no thanks to the avengers

Re: Town Hall: Nigerians Tackle Ministers by October1960: 2:16pm On Aug 10, 2016
Nigeria's present situation is like sending someone to market with 100 Naira to buy 1,000 Naira of goods.

If we are not patient to let this govt succeed it will be ten times worse in the next administration.

All mouths and that's all.. You talk as if it is easy sourcing materials locally. For example, how do we source steel materials that will serve the whole nation locally when we neither have mining nor iron and steel production companies? How do we get machines if not still from importation? You guys can talk big without action.. undecided

don't you think APC need to put pride behind and seek help from Jonathan economic team??

when we were warning them that they should negotiate with militant quickly, they thought we don't know what we were saying. it's only a matter of time people will soon start eating each other.
If GEJ's economic team had people with brains, they(GEJ's team) won't have borrowed to pay salaries after 3+ years of record oil prices.

the demand for dollars is $2.5bn a week

There is our problem in a nutshell.

Nigeria has $28bn in reserves....

If we released $2.5bn weekly....we would be broke in ten weeks.....

Nigeria needs to get off oil. And Nigeria needs to cut spending.

Sorry Nigerians....but we do not have the money anymore. Oil has fallen...and is not going up again
