NIGERIA'S ONLY NATURAL DISASTER ISSUES SINCE 1960 IS FLOODING (mainly in the south & desertification in the north) ... 2016 THEY HAVENT CONQUERED IT.

The netherlands didn't just battle flooding, they battled and conquered the sea!

Later some f00ls will delude themselves that the black man is superior to the white man.

That RD road has been like that for the past twenty (20) years from foursquare gospel church to golf estate, in this case please blame the community chiefs and elders. They collect money to work but put it in there pocket

Seems like the last great flood was never an eye opener to widen drainages in the Niger delta. This indicates that with all the 13% derivation fund, NDDC and all other funds provided to the Niger Deltern states, drainages are giving little or no attention at all. We do not expect drainages to be a difficult thing to be provided in such communities, rather blame your governors and wealthy militant leaders who have the money to buy explosives and guns meant to blow up pipe lines will your houses are under water.
It also clearly shows that the mammoth funding ends up in their pockets while they push your youths to dance the jamboree dance in the creeks..

It is his job.

So after building road and drainage for the citizens who decide to throw their garbage in the gutters; it is now the job of the same government to come and clear the drainage?

Nigerians and their entitlement mentality.

They hardly do drinage in port harcourt, they so much want to gain from sales of land that they cancelled space for drinage, I have never see any street road in PH with gutter, even some major roads have no gutter, their big men usually go for jeep after stealing public fund and they will blame buhari for this too!

One of the reason I don't like that town, salt water will make your car rust fast

Your problem is exposure. And that is the problem of millions of Nigerians. You guys just don't understand what your responsibilities are or what is expected of you. Thank your stars you crossed paths with me today. I will educate you. First, the government in normal countries, keyword here is "normal", will provide the drainage. This will also include maintaining it. They pay for it by taxing the citizens the drainage is meant for. They also ensure that they monitor it's use constantly. It is normal that people will throw trash in them because every single person, in every single country does that. It is expected. They help control it, with the help of the L.G, by ensuring they punish people who throw trash or build structures on it. In Germany, fines for throwing trash around go as high as one thousand Euro. In Nigeria's case, because of people like you who don't understand how things are done, you expect magic when it comes to maintenance. It doesn't work that way.

Cc cococandy. We need to be educating these people constantly. They just don't know how things are done. God help them.

The Roman empire already had a complex system of interconnecting aqueducts and sewage system to keep their cities clean and dry as best as they could.

Fast forward to 2016 AD: Naija can't manage to plan and build a single proper city.

Okay.

There is a reason the State is called "Rivers State"

One thing the pictures show, is that there is no drainage system in the Street.

Drainage what?

Even GRA in PH no get drainage..

So pathetic
