Pls avoid those square tanks. They are mostly industrial chemical vessels that were reclaimed usually illegally. Some of the chemicals are carcinogenic and need special chemicals to properly reclaim for reuse. Remember that when thirsty, workers tend to drink from any water tank on site.

its inevitable , the cost of importing raw materials has almost doubled. unless the govermnet subsidizes foreign exchange for certain essential manufacturing inputs, the trend is only going to continue.

Those tanks are used to transport industrial chemicals. It took a while before I was able to clean the last one I bought.

The price of raw materials these days depend solely on dollar. The price of imported goods will continue to increase. Cable manufacturers have increased their price more than six times this year. Our Government need to do something fast about this. One thing about this our great nation is that anything that goes up will hardly come down even though the ecnoomy is restored back to normal

First of all my position has nothing to do with making Buhari look bad, I am actually a strong supporter of this administration and the direction it appears to be headed, even though the turn of events have shown that it clearly needs a better economic team and a different approach.

However with regards to the subsidizing of the forex thing....I personally heard the CBN governor state that the decision was reached months back to provide (at a concessionary rate of N197 to a dollar) a maximum of $1000 and minimum of $750 PTA for pilgrims. CBN issued a directive to that effect this month, that verification and confirmation information is highly incorrect sir, unless the CBN decided to go back on its own decision.

that aside, I am not one inclined to be embroiled in political sensationalism. I hold my views (as we're all entitled to) but keep them to myself. I just stated a move that if practicable would stem the rise in price of cables.

Apparently the CBN may have gone back on its decision,the bank took down the circular from their site although it did not issue any statement indicating whether the new policy had been cancelled or not. this is one of many forward-then-reverse decisions/policies of the current CBN leadership. Emefiele appears to be on a trial and error Navigation mode. Heaven knows this economy needs fresh intellect.
