Am not one to judge, but I've observed the sham called religion and I'm so fed up,i started having this mindset when My kid bro who is an exact replica of me in everything died on new year's day because he was sick for just three days, despite every medical and religious efforts. I was born a methodist, at a point in life(early teen) i changed to Catholic due to peer pressure, later on dunamis, deeper life, redeem, omega, christ embassy and i always welcome jehovah witnesses and visted thier church twice, they call it Kingdom hall. yes you can call me a religious LovePeddler, my parents doesn't enforce religion on us so there's freedom to try, i was trying to see if i can fit in somewhere, i found out i connect with the jehovahs witnesses more, because they dont preach Blindly, when they say something they back it up with science and Bible verses, i am highly logical and science is what I've believed in since forever, like a place in the bible claimed the earth is suspended on nothing, then they told me that the bible was written long before scientists actually discovered the earth is spherical, therefore most of what scientists found out about God, nature and mankind was actually in the bible before it was discovered, but somehow i cant make up my mind if i really identify with any of those churchs because, i wonder why God never speaks to me, i hardly dream except wierd dreams that doesn't concern God, i have tried to connect with him by getting up in the middle of d night to pray, the only thing i haven't tried is going to crusades except that of reinhard bonking(hope the spelling is correct), i have promised to be his minister all my life if i see a tiny sign, now am an adult yet no sign. why he allows bad things to happen to good people, Why do rich servants of God use armed guards to protect themselves, i thought God protects us all. why he allows his servants die at the hands of wicked people when they are doing his work, What do people worship when Christianity hasn't been introduced in Nigeria, those guys don't even know God still there was no fire of Sodom and Gomorrah to consume them. Why do babies die what sin could they have sinned against God. why bad people go to church and God doesn't strike them down. why politicians loot money and get to sit comfortably in the front row seats in the church and make sure the media and the whole world sees them praying like the sadueces and the pharasi jesus referred to, most of the powerful people in the world today are not Christians, but they became powerful and successful anyways. why are pastors flying in private jet while thier worshipers walk on foot, the bible never mentioned that Jesus lived in affluence, the only time he came close to being a king was when he entered Jerusalem on a donkey and theres a reason for that, i thought we are emulating jesus, they might deny it but am very certain thier posh and expensive lifestyle is funded by offerings which they claim they will use to do God's work, if it was used that way, the less privileged will be getting fat, will be sheltered, will be going to school, but reverse is the case. I believe religion is something that is kept in place to make people behave "fear of the unknown'' I believe whatever you do your life has consequences, good or bad results, I'm scared of telling people that i dont believe he exist, or am an atheist, i say otherwise but deep down inside am dying to be me, our world of today you either follow what everyone thinks its normal or voice what you think its normal which is contrary to the normal and die, or be condemned or be termed a weird fool especially in stupid Africa. 1 Like |

IS RELIGION SHAM? Thinking..... No its not. But the most people that practise it are SHAM. RELIGION IS INVENTED BUT SPIRITUALITY ISNT. |

Some believe the number of people you kill determine the number of Virgins you get as a reward, some think its bad to even kill, some even think theres no sex or marriage in heaven, and they all think they're right, now who do we believe and how do you know whos right |

fearless15: Two basic pillars stand out for any religion 1. God or gods 2. Immortality of the soul Because of principally the first pillar buddhism is sometimes not classified as a religion. Spirituality has to deal with individuality and personal enlightenment for the most part. |

fearless15: OK I will try not to Spirituality is inherent in every man (supposition) Religion is invented. Spirituality has no hard and fast set of rituals or rites or whatsnot .. Spirituality is individualistic. You and the Above or You and your enlightenment. No Preacher no buildings no pecuniary offerings no dogmas or irrefutable doctrines.
