RIO 2016 Olympics Basketball: D'Tigers of Nigeria upsets Croatia (90-76), to win their first Group match (PHOTOS)

D'Tigers resilient attitude has finally won them their first group B (Group of Death) match in the on-going Rio Olympic Men's Basketball after inflicting shock 90-76 defeat to European giants Croatia.

The current African champions, Nigeria hopes of going through to the next stage now lies on if they avoid defeat against the host nation Brazil in their next Group B game.

Wow! I think its the first time an African team has won a basket ball game at the olympics...if anyone knows better please correct me. Our girls were also the first African basketball team to win an Olympic basketball game when they qualified in 2004 Athens game...Angola keep dominating Africa for years but never wins a game at the Olympics.
