For those too lazy to read.

The lawyer focus was on Ondo, not Buhari. He mentioned how Tinubu is trying to impose a leader to Ondo, rather than giving the ppl right to choose. He equally mentioned how Tinubu is part of the problem of the country's poor democracy.

The only time he mentioned Buhari is when he mentioned that Tinubu accepted his disagreement to Buhari. He did state though that the only reason Tinubu imposed Buhari on ppl is because and I quote " winnability". In other words, Tinubu focus was to remove GEJ, nothing more. Says a whole lot

Mr.Lawyer,go and sell yourself to the electorate and stop making Bola Tinubu into a tin god.
Tinubu has inalienable rights as a free citizen of a democratic country to support, canvass, influence, lobby for or against,donate to,campaign for or against any Ondo state or Nigerian politician(s) he deems appropriate within citizenship and legal confines.
If Abayomi can not convince his party members whether or not Tinubu supports or malign him, then he doesn't deserve to be governor.

Atiku's candidate lost the Adamawa APC governorship primaries, despite Atiku's money & influence.

Governor Okowa of Delta State defeated the candidate of the then Delta state governor in the PDP primaries.

It is possible to defeat a 'leader's' candidate & by the way, Tinubu is perfectly entitled to have a preferred candidate. Mimiko imposed Eyitayo & half of PDP are currently threatning all sorts of things grin

These things happen.

Tinubu will have no vote in the primaries.

The guy should focus his energy on canvassing the representatives whose votes will matter & stop looking for excuses.

PS: it's funny how people say Tinubu imposed Buhari when the APC had primaries meanwhile the PDP imposed GEJ (refused to sell form to one woman like that) and everyone is OK with it.

Well, Dr Tunji Abayomi is right under a sane democratic system, a culture we should all endeavour to promote so that unpopular and incapable candidate do not take over governance. Being popular does not really translates to better performance, that is why the party delegates should avoid money politics. In which case, the chosen candidate sydrome would start to die gradually for this is what Tinubu use to practice in Lagos State and has been widely applauded and appreciated through the performance of these blessed candidates; Fashola and Ambode. However, this system is not in itself unquestional but is african in nature. Some scholars have even advocated the idea of 'Consensus' as African Democratic Ideal.

If Jonathan had won OYO and Lagos would have been PDP now.

Tinubu practically funds APC Ondo state during the lean times between elections when the contestants now claiming entitlement are hiding away in Lagos Abuja etc

6 months to every election, they'll suddenly run back to the State with painted vehicles running up & down claiming entitlement to be Governor.

When they realise they cant gain any traction & the local people dont recognise them, they'll start looking for excuses.

According to this man, he heard a 'rumour' of possible imposition. Yet, he ran off to the press writing a long epistle and divulging private conversations with a man he claims to be his friend. What a callous man.

So, Tinubu 'stood by you' during your daughter's wedding in 2013. Basically, that's a code for saying he gave you money & personal support.

Yet, just 3 yrs later, you're going from one medium to another rubishing him, based on a 'rumour' you heard huh

God help us with friends like this.

Thanks for the summary bros. However there were some contradictions in the long epistle. For instance, while the writer credited Tinubu for fighting for democracy he also carpeted him for destroying true democracy. All in all we know the reason for this epistle is because of the personal ambition of the writer. If by chance he gets the governoship ticket and eventually wins at the poll, will he remember the masses? Is it not the same trend among all of them in all the geopolitical zones. Most of the incubent governors nominate their successors be it PDP.APC,APGA etc.

APC will have close to 20 contestants in the primaries.

I can name at least 10 of the top of my head. The others who dont have much name- recognition have posters & vehicles painted in party colours here & there.

I didnt know about this guy until I heard his protestation last week nor do I recall seeing any poster of his anywhere.

Truth is, he knows he has zero chance of winning, hence his earky excuses.
