Wenger can be very funny, chambers and holding against that Liverpool attack? He had all summer to buy the needed players, but kept on shouting quality upanda.. BTW,chambers have refused to prove hecis fit to be gunner for 3good seasons now,I say ship him out, nothing spectacular about the lad Wenger has come again with his usual talk of we bounced back after opening day defeats from previous seasons ![]() |

How was today's result surprising? Not for me!!! I desperately wished for a draw because even with the lead I was convinced we could not hold on to the game. We cluttered the middle in the first and that covered up our deficiencies. We can not play 2 holding defenders, Elneny is not creative enough with the ball in possession. I think Wenger understands the changes he needs to make, I will keep Holding in the first eleven, he showed glimpses of a good defender especially aerially. He was very unlucky with 2 calls which led to goals. Any more question as to who should start between Ramsey and the little Magician? Personally that argument never existed, Santi is class on his own, his vision and calmness in possession was evident again. We have not had a tough tackler in a very long time and I believe Xhaka would prove doubters wrong, he seemed in a haste to correct the wrongs of the first half midfield and he must have learnt a few things today. Wenger has no reason not to start him. Xhaka looked very comfortable on the ball, and does have good passing abilities. As for the British players in our team!!!! They are all birds of the same feather. They all have horrendous ball control. I have been lamenting this for over 2 seasons. My brother Spy asked even before the summer transfer windows opened which striker we should gun for? And I wrote without any hesitation, S. Mane.. He was always available, we could have nicked him before anyone else. Will Wenger sign anyone? I doubt it, he is a very stubborn coach who is not influenced by external environmen. Still a proud gunner. |

solomonbrown64:The real problem here wasn't he resting players, we should have done better even with the squad he paraded, if Walcott had played as CF, Sanchez at the wing, and Cazorla as 10. why the fck would he play kick and follow Ramsey as a 10. I lamented immediately I saw him as our 10 before the game even started, Ramsey should have played as a DM at best. To haters we lost to Liverpool 4-3 and not Bournemouth with our make-shift squad, let's hope u can do better. |

I don't even know where to start from. Party people, we shall be there to grace una own occasion joyously. ![]() Now, Germany went to the Euro tournament up to the semi-finals, yet someone like Ozil gets to have an extended holiday and Ramsey is brought back into the team immediately? Ramsey has shown from the match that he is definitely not in Cazorla's league. Even ManShitty played Sagna in their match, yet our own French players are not fit? If they are not fully fit, why are they footballers paid big time money? Sign quality defenders, the old geezer keeps saying this is not financial competition. Well fine, show that on the effing pitch, you nutter!! Waited until two senior CB got injured before we started hearing of serious intent towards Mustafi....what an unserious, unprepared manager! If Wenger is talking of quality signing, players like Chambers are not quality. Yet we bought him for £16m from Southampton. This Wenger guy seems to have utterly lost his marbles. My consolation is that, this is his last season here. Even if he performs a magic with the team, it is time for him to go. No more of that automatic Arsenal manager position for him. |

Pataki:For me our mid-field was too weak on the day, thereby transferring so much pressure on the defence. For fck sake Bellerin couldn't overlap due to this and what y'all could yell is defence. Cos it's the easiest route to blame.? Were u all blind to see we could hardly control the tempo of the game before Cazorla was brought on to replace Ramsey? You guys should leave those defenders abeg, no one came to the party yesterday. |

Pataki:Bookmarked for future reference. As per Ramsey, most folks here were raving about his performances at the euros, some fans even suggested that Ozil should be moved to the wing to accommodate the Emirate's Rambo in the No. 10 position others even concluded that Wales lost to portugal because Ramsey was suspended but fast forward a month, same Ramsey, Same stylish look but different opinions...This thread should be moved to the joke section. |

kokaneprodigy:.......We were playing long balls, to whom, a short Sanchez?.... ....Walcott did well in the wings but Ramsey being the number 10 was the problem and Elneny not pushing the ball forward but instead passing backwards to the Young centre backs, thereby putting unnecessary pressure on them...... .....Ramsey the headless chicken squandered two good chances before the penalty.... The guy is just an enigma,I still don't know what Wenger sees in him, he sucks at both being a DM and as a playmaker.... .....There was no midfield at all in the second half and The old man should have seen that and remove Ramsey sooner and bring in someone who keeps possession. Elneny is still not big enough to tackle and he gave the job to Coquelin who later became useless after getting a yellow... ...The midfield was the problem yesterday which eventually exposed the defense.... .....I hope the old man learnt his lessons yesterday.. ... |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by solomonbrown64: 8:25am On Aug 15, 2016 |
patrickmuf:.... Whoever said that should be flogged fifty times with a koboko, True, he did well in the euros but comparing him to Ozil is an insult to the playmaker position. He couldn't hold the ball yesterday, he couldn't even control at times for fvck sake! ...An aging Cazorla did better than him in the seventeen minutes he was on yesterday.... ...Ramsey is just overrated and his performance proved critics right yesterday... |

patrickmuf:You make foolishness look like something one should be proud of showcasing everywhere. If you like, you facemark my comment. That is your own headache. Since last season, I had wanted Chambers sold. He sucks as a DM, he sucks at RB, and as a CB, he is not too impressive in my opinion. So get the eff out of here if the joke section is what you are looking for. Goringo Manure! |
