some schools here take one million to two million as school fees

this is Ajah here that people that work in ikota shopping complex take 25-30 thousand as salary a month

@OP, whatever you do, I will advise you to pick up any job in that area or axis even if the salary is 50k. When you are there, it is like playing in a big league. You move from one school to a better one within a twinkle of an eye. Some schools around that axis are in the lower cadre like the one you are considering while others are in the higher cadre.

I teach in one of the schools in Lekki and it is not bad. Moreover, education is highly valued here. You have great prospects for private lessons. At 2 times per week, 2 hours per time, the minimum I have ever charged is 50k (a grads salary with government). What do you think will happen if you have 2 of them? Before you know it, recommendations, referrals etc i. E if you are very good. You will have to even start turning down the private lessons offers at a time.

because u charged 50,000 doesnt mean its the norm. i have siblings that do private lessons, none ever crossed 20,000naira as charges. the teachers are from the school they are in, and their school fees isn't cheap. so don't make it seem like its the norm.

A school that has that kind of structure and pays its teachers peanut is plain wicked or in erecting such beautiful structures to attract parents, they have incurred enormous debt that they are trying to offset. It's not always as it seems until you move close before you really understand what's happening.

The highest paid teacher in government schools is the principal and his salary after like 25years in service is ,300,000 for Lagos state and that is if age doesnt catch up with you.Graduate re paid 60k per month with promotion after four years the amount added to your salary is 5000.So how will he build the house you are displaying.

The Nigerian private sector is a place where the profits go to the CEOs. Even if the school is making N100m per annum as revenue. They will hardly pay their staff N200,000..

For now, only banks, Oil coys and highly structured businesses pay such amounts to their entry level staff.

Readington pays very well but first you will start with little the little am talking about is 70 as a class teacher then 30 as class assistant but there is a lot of work and pressure there if you can stay there for at least a year you can get like 90- 100
these are the little schools I know and am sure they are more schools in ajah that pay like these schools
