What a chamelon attitude.
You said that SS people are not that employed in oil company bcus they are illiterates, why denying ur word?
Why are you guys scared of South South controlling their oil resources?
The poster I initially responded to was the one that wrote that Mobil Platform at Eket is largely peopled with Yoruba staff, and I pointed it out to him that Mobil being an IOC would rather employ qualified individuals instead of ogogoro drinking militants.

As for your talk about resource control, do I need to remind you that once upon a time in the history of this country each region controled their own resource(s). It was your ibo uncle, aguyi ironsi, the first military administrator of Nigeria, that abolished regionalism and foisted the unitary system on us.

Have you guys bothered to know why Warri is now a ghost town compared to the 80s and 90s?

Your ignorance would soon be cured.

Mobil is a multi national company. They are after profilt and not concerned about your tribal tantrums. That the Mobil Platform at Eket is largely staffed by Yoruba simply means that the Yoruba are more qualified than others. You do not expect an IOC like Mobil to be after ethnic considerations inlieu of competence. Abi na militant wey dey drink ogogoro, wey no go school dem go employ?

When Jonathan the greatest south south politician alive today was the president of this country you all wanted one Nigeria but immediately jonathan lost the presidency you now want a separate country for the south south. What a brilliant logic !

If you care to know, I am also a pro-secessionist. Because some of us dont foolishly blow up pipelines and other infrastructure in our region does not mean we arent exponent of self determination also.

Your masters might prefer to embrace militancy and violence; we will rather use tact and diplomacy

I laugh in jukun.

Militants have started threatening investors they chased away from their land to relocate back.

Mobil chose SW because of the relative peace there and so shall it be until you learn to embrace peace as a means to conflict resolution.

At the end of the day, it is the guys from the Niger Delta Region that suffer. Scaring away investors when states, regions and countries are wooing them is the most backward decision or step anyone can take in such a time as this.

Yes, u are wooing foreign investors to come and damage their land and shift the goodies to Lagos and Abuja. Devilish people

Unfortunately you are misunderstanding me because all I am saying is that freedom fighters from that part of the country should look for other means to solve these issues. Hostilities in the Niger Delta won't do indigenes any good.

I think I agree with you on that. But my question is
What other means can they use? Remember that dialogue has never worked.

Yorubas sitting tight and adjusting their seats...all oil companies headquarters to be moved from Lagos to Uyo. My Ibibio brothers are wisening up.

But isn't Lagos an oil producing state as well?

If they want the company to move to Akwa Ibom, they also need to take the millions of people from Akwa Ibom with the company back to the state. Lagos is overcrowded - you lot need to go back home.

The problem is that Nigeria does not seemtounderstand the language of peace.

The Niger Delta has been asking for resource control since forever but no one is listening.

Ken Saro Wiwa was even executed just for asking for what righfully belongs to his people.

Yorubas have been saying that Igbos should leave their land as well.

You should not be surprised that the Niger Delta people have also asked Yorubas to leave the SS.

Now they are asking oil companies to relocate their head quarters to the SS.

It is a good thing Lagos now has oil, Mobil should simply redirect their huge pipes to Lagos, simple.
