Check Out This Army Quote Very Touching by Tripplejay23(op): 6:34pm On Aug 19, 2016
WE LAID IN THE BUSH WHILE YOU LAID ON YOUR
BEDS..
WE SLEEP BESIDE OUR GUNS WHILE U SLEEP
BESIDE YOUR WIVES..
U SLEEP IN YOUR HOUSE WHILE WE SLEEP IN
HEMAS..
U WEAR NICE CAPS WHILE WE WEAR HEAVY
HELMETS..
U WEAR DESIGNERS VESTS WHILE WE WEAR
IRON VEST..
IN THE MORNING U ARE AWOKEN BY SWEET
ALARM TONES WHILE WE WERE WOKEN UP BY
HORROWFUL
SOUND OF BOMBS AND GRENADE..
U MOVE AROUND TOWN IN RANGE ROVERS
AND LATEST CARS
BUT WE MOVE IN TANKS AND BUFFALLOS..
WE STAY AWAKE JUST FOR YOU TO SLEEP..
WE KILL FOR YOU TO LIVE..
WE STAND SIDE BY SIDE WITH DEATH ITSELF
SO THAT THE FUTURE OF YOUR GENERATION
CAN BE ASSURED..
WE SACRIFICE OUR TODAY FOR YOUR
TOMORROW..
WE ARE STRONG AT HEART, GREAT IN ACTION,
COMMITTED TO OUR COURSE, AND LOYAL TO
OUR NATION..
WE ARE SOLDIERS!!!..WITH GREAT ZEAL AND
GALLANTRY..
WE FIGHT RELENTLESLY TO WIN YET WE
CONTINUE TO FIGHT TO CONQUER
INSURGENCY AND TERRORISM..
JUST PRAY FOR US OVER HERE..TO CONQUER
IN VICTORY SO THAT WE CAN RETURN TO OUR
FAMILY, FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES..
TO THE FALLEN HEROES..WE PRAY THEY
CONTINUE TO LIVE ON..WHILE WE FIGHT TO
THE END IN VICTORY...IN THE NAME OF
GOD..TYPE
"GOD BLESS OUR SOLDIERS"

This is absolute rubbish. Nigerian soldiers and this their senseless notion of 'doing the rest of the populace a favour'. It is extremely vexatious and provocative.

"We laid in the bush while you laid on your beds". And so? Meaning what? Who forced you idiots to join the military? You voluntarily joined a particular profession knowing its hazards and ramifications, so why are you lamenting and making stupid noise about that? And who told you that the average able bodied young man you see on the road can not perform the same duties if armed/equipped and if need be? Who told you that I cannot protect and defend myself if I am allowed to carry arms with sufficient ammunition like? Does your ridiculous and misplaced sense of superiority (because you lie in the bush) justify your disgusting penchant for unnecessarily oppressing and intimidating unarmed civilians?

By the way, who told you that 'laying' in the bush is a more important function for society than, for instance, what doctors, teachers, engineers, farmers, policemen, and other practitioners of different professions or vocations do? ? ?

Nigeria's territorial integrity has NEVER been threatened since its amalgamation in 1914, meaning that we have never gone to war with another country. The Last semblance of a war was the so-called Biafra/Civil War, which was more of a quasi-genocide against an ethnic group that largely improvised with their own self-manufactured crude weapons.. And even at that, the "war" dragged on for 3 years in spite of the massively lop-sided advantage in funding and arms that the Nigerian military enjoyed. Since 1914, Nigeria's Armed Forces have never seen or participated in a real war, other than the occasional jamboree of raping young girls, drinking Kai Kai and sharing dollar allowances in Sierra Leone and Liberia that they call "Peace Keeping". Isn't that why they have been struggling with ragtag Boko Haram for how many years now? If these clueless creatures who call themselves Nigerian Army face a serious country's military in a conventional warfare, it would take only a few days to wipe the rusty cowards out.

The only thing they do very well is to intimidate unarmed civilians in random street corners. Lie down, do frog jump, bla bla. Is that what military strength and professionalism is all about? Because you managed to lose a few cowardly lives and kill a couple of ragtag Boko Haram riff-raff, you are composing a nonsensical, condescending and utterly annoying poem. May God punish the fool(s) who wrote this useless "poem".

Until you cowards learn the rudiments of professionalism, discipline, and civil-military relations best practice, you do not deserve to be accorded any respect.

Nonsense!

If you could read, and if you had a functioning brain, you would have dissected my post and made a sensible attempt to refute or contradict my assertions. Instead, you shamelessly advertised your stupidity - like your fellow dullards in military khaki always do.

You're a bloody illiterate. Enrol for adult education classes now before senility eats up the little that is left of your minuscule brain.
