[b][size=16pt]States in Nigeria have to merge in a kind of regional structure in order to survive this economic melt down. It is a burden managing 36 states that are mostly poor due to high level corruption by the political class. States basically can not survive on their own without allocation from the federal government. For those deceiving Buhari to prospect for oil that he will find oil in the north they are just wasting their time. There is no oil in lake chad it is just a drain pipe but rather that money should have been invested in agriculture. It is on record that right from the time of President Shehu Aliyu Shagari that Nigeria has been searching for oil in the north without success. With billions spent for these past 31 years is it not right for the government to look into other sectors like Agriculture or solid minerals. The federal governing is wasting the money in fruitless search for oil. Maybe because the money for the prospecting exercise is not coming from the north that is why they can afford to waste it unfortunately at the expense of suffering oil community in the Niger delta. Going by this article, I have to give it to Aregbeshola and Osun state in general. The fact that Osun is functioning without allocations, the government is starting and completing projects like Lagos state and than any other state in Nigeria apart fro Lagos state and starting new government programs means Osun is almost fully diversified and self sustaining. |

In all this all I can perceive or sense here is that we have heartless leaders in every levels of government in that God forsaken country called Zoogeria. Yes, I am not from either Osun ,Bayelsa or any of the states worst hit by the government nonsensical withdrawals of States money but how can a sensible and citizen friendly government at the center withdraws states monthly allocations once and allow the states to wallow in poverty?. Can't those state debts be paid by installments?. Can't the almighty federal government allow the concerned states to pay little by little until all debts are paid back. What about the civil servants that won't get paid, their families, wards and others that depend on them for survival. You see, instead of Nigerians in this forum to condemn such heartless and reckless actions of government at the center, they are busy with ethnic bashing and insults. This war of wits and supremacy will only endanger the black race the more. Whether you are Ibo,Hausa, Yoruba ,Ewe,Ga, Diola, Fulani,Zulu or whatever,so long as you have black skin, white people and non Africans don't give hoot about you. You are all treated the same as semi animals or little above a chimp. So, its incumbent on all of you with black skins to prove non Africans otherwise. |

But what did the Governor of Osun state did with the loans he obtained. Virtually all the roads & other projects he started are incomplete ..yet the money is gone..we shall see how he would manage the impending danger of the state economy. He blamed oyinlola for mismanagement unknown to the people that he was coming to defraud the state big time. Osun is in dare problem now |
