Hello nairalander, my thought of venturing into fish farming started today though in a very small way. I decided to bring up this post to ask the veterans in the house how many fishes this little pond can take from fingerings to table size.

4*6ft......150 juveniles upto 1kg and 250 juveniles upto 400g

Also don't forget to plan for the cost of how much feed will be required to feed them till table size. Many farmers run short of cash during production stage. Avoid this error.

For every 500 juveniles u will use a minimum no of 16bgs of fish feed of wch over half shld be foreign feed. ( u must change water atleast , 2/3 times a week to encourage good health and good feeding

Hello, Moheat...great partner.....my candid view....use it as a pilot project and stock maximum of 100..or less reason, its just one pond....get all your practical experience with a minimal risk and adequate funding.....I started with 60pieces in a 1000lit tank...today I'm grateful to God.....for more assistance, chat me up on agribusiness partnership....

Hello youngzoologist thank you so much for your advice. I actually intend to use it as a pliot project, I have never stock fish before.

this your vat is too small to raise catfish effectively.
What i see in that pics less that 3ft depth and 2.5ft by 4ft width
i will not discourage you, but you can try 100pcs and let's see how it goes.
