Labana , one of the rice highlighted was seen being offloaded at Ehi street by Asa road , aba , Yestetday. This goes to show the rice are in the market and, we might become self-sufficient in terms of rice production very soon.

The idea of placing ban on importation of rice is a good and rational one,though it would have been done in phases so as to cushing the effects.anyway the policy is yielding fruits and i hope this tempo will be maintained .i wish such a ban would be placed on small light electronics gadgets such as torch light,car headlamps,chargers etc.this will cause industries to spring up,thereby create emplyments and reduce pressure on our currency

I just pray the rice won't b rebagged into foreign rice bags n sold at exorbitant price further prolonging the price of rice situation. Out of greed some aba Bois may attempt this. I am in uyo n am yet to see such bag of rice even with close proximity to aba. Rice still sells at 80 to 120 naira depending on grade. God help us in this country
