There is no need jubilate or antagonize others over this news because it still not show we are out of the wood yet. The best solution is a solution that puts an end to the issue of militancy ever again which this is not about. I am a strategic and long term person. I prefer to kill and bury a problem than to relieve the immediate pains. The question is whether there is still a chance of this nonsense 2.,4,6,8,10 years from now? and what shape and impact it will take? I want to see a country where militancy never comes cos there is no need. While we are temporarily out of the wood, this is the best time to take a strategic look about problems in this country and address them from the root cause even if it means a radical and fundamental change. At the end of the day, there is nothing bettet than a peaceful and prosperous nation instead of always being at a dangerous edge all the time. |

The Avengers have taken a drastic step before it gets too late. This release by the Avengers is just a mere sophistry, it is baseless and it has no positive consequence. Their sponsor GEJ has told them to back down for now because they have realised that the public sympathy is no more there, meaning that the general public will not pity the region by the time the Nigerian Army start leveling the area, even their elders have are no more in support of their nefarious attitude. President Buhari knew exactly who their sponsors are but they are untouchable because of the danger it will pose to the unity of the nation. The stupid spokesman was talking about protest that happened in developed world like Japan, Germany etc, does those protesters subject their country to destruction of infrastructures? I just pray this will be the last of bombings of oil facilities. |

Izonpikin:you spoke the words outta my mouth..it is inevitable. Time shall surely come when their cries shall get to the high heavens for total restructuring..let them continue to wag their tails and celebrate whilst hungry, suffering and smilling as if the cessation is some kinda hitting the jackpot. Nigeria is a land of dreamers living in fools' paradise. |

Izonpikin:Yeah, made up of noisy bomb and run criminals that wet their pants and capitulate at the sight of military rehearsals by his army ![]() Let us hear 'ween' again and see how your entire region will be turned into a huge military barracks. I'm sure you realize the smiling crocodile isn't going anywhere until the brain reset is complete. Just thank the scavengers for saving you from becoming an IDP. Eat your words in peace. |

ezan:So unfortunate my brother. The whites know thatl we live for the moment and nothing more. They are aware we neither scrutinize the past nor plan for the future. We hardly even make effort to look at trends or connect the dots. When we make attempt to sketch something like a plan, it all ends in shallow wishful conjectures. Then we start making excuses or blaming people, things, circumstances etc. |

ehikwe22:"Yorubas" have the rein of the Nigerian government, right? Yorubas do not claim being 'strong', rather 'sensible'. Yes, their demands are not reasonable, period. |

Pepper soup militants, they were never fighting for any real cause and therefore true motivation to fight but for money to sustain their lazy lavish lifestyle of women, wine and parties; the cowards have no mettle to face the army especially now that their hidden sponsors have been unmasked - they no longer have anywhere to run or hide but surrender. Let this be a lesson to those that still believe that they can hold this country to ransom or insult her at every whim, as Nigerians have shown the resolve to resist such threats and deal with these miscreants - let those that have a penchant to call this a zoo take note, for they to will be next. As for the sponsors of the militants, I hope the FG will not relent till they are found and dealt decissively so that no one would to dream let alone venture into such action again. |

Hope15:I said Yorubas because Hausas are out of the question here. apart from the North, the only region impeding the break up or restructuring of Nigeria is the West. how are their demands not sensible? it's their land. you don't know the damage this exploration is causing in their land. don't ask me if the bombings are not causing more damage. it's causing more damage but there is no other way to get to this wicked government apart from that means. the government doesn't want dialogue. they shout dialogue while they're hatching a plan. Things need to be done differently in Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole. Supporting Nigeria against the Niger Delta will only spell doom for Nigeria. Things need to change. |

Better advantage to the government is that it now has better chance of dictating the process of the 'dialogue'. Concessions can only be moderate. |

Nice one now NDA should go back to their villages nd start planning how to move their community forward am yoruba but i don't see why if the ss/se want their own country it should be a problem but my advice to them is to find a better method to use violence is never the solution pls if u are looking for another means just remember what Scotland did. |
