Chai, See graduate spewing trash. I doubt if most peep read through the anti grazing bill at all. The problem with Nigerians is that we only scan through the news headline leaving behind the content.

let me help in tutoring the ITK.

Fayose never banned the activities of herdsmen from 7am to 6pm as long they are not with any weapon whatsoever.
The bill was just to control there excesses within the state. And for a stipulated hour , not like before whereas they roam about in the middle of night et al.

In my opinion, Fayose was wrong to enact such laws in the first place. The fulanis have the right to live and work in ekiti just like every other Nigerian. Why ban their business of cattle rearing when they have no other means? Why criminalize the fulanis as if all fulanis are killers? There are bad eggs amongst every tribe, why do we make it look like violence is exclusive to northerners only. Thei people we should frown at are cattle rustlers who steals cattle from fulanis and use them as disguise for their evil deeds. The fulanis are peaceful people who go about their business in peace and we all know they control their herds of cattle with mere sticks. Even though we call them primitive, how many southerner can rear cattle for national consumption like the fulanis? Without them how do we see beef to consume? The rustlers are armed terrorist escaping from the north east to the south. What fayose should have done is to forbid any herdsmen from moving around with weapons, not banning cattle rearing completely. If all states cooperated with the FG on creation of grazing reserves throughout the country, there will not be a single cattle left on the streets looking for grass. Instead we chastised president Buhari's brilliant policy in the name of islamization. The ripple effects are the incessant attacks by the rustlers. The grazing bill remains the best and safest option. Not unnecessary bans sad

Thank yhu

........ Did you even make any effort to study the stipulations of the grazing bill of Ekiti state before posting this thing?.... Why are you guys so desperate to discredit fayose... Please read the content of the bill and come back clarification..... Not to mention that the law is merely a week old.

Fayose can be likened to a fool, who doesn't know when to stop fighting and act smart
I dnt think he has any gud rappot with other state governors other than his notorious PDP crooks.
Where igbos are being smat & civil, d mor.on is using force to spite Buhari. We'll see how far he gets

Attacking the herdsmen means declaration of guerrilla warfare which the citizens cannot sustain. Fayose should stop fooling around with unnecessary attention seeking.

Fayose is all fluff no stuff, he grandstands even with no legal leg to stand on... Even if someone does , the constitution of Nigeria trumps any state law which he is only pushing to bait the Fulani man in power & Fayose knows it but is banking on the fact that majority of his followers are not very intelligent so won't delve deep.

The constitution gives EVERYONE unfettered access to any part of the country, it's not right but it's the LAW..

I wholeheartedly agree with this frank and intelligent post. We all need to be part of the solution unlike Fayose, who has become part of the problem.

I'm sorry to say this but you sound like a primary one pupil still learning reading and comprehension. Did you even see the law in the first place? Is Fayose a law maker? The herdsmen were simply banned from moving around with cattle or guns. They were never banned from entering the state. No governor have such power. More so the governor only assented a law made by the state assembly.

When I told some morons that that law was futile and useless they kept arguing, simply because fayose is anti-buhari. Some people are just plain dumb! Oya why not start arresting the herdsmen and their cattle na. Lets see where u will put them. Dundees!

So in ur opinion, LAGOS KAI can arrest street trader but fayose can't put up a similar organization to arrest grazing defaulters. Smh.

Na u gangan be kindergarten pupil. They were banned from carrying sophisticated weapons, at the same time moving around with their cattles. Means even when not moving around, where ever they are, they must not be spotted with arms. Fayose is ot a law maker but he passed the Law, and he had repeatedly said it that he will do anything to enact that law.

I don't particularly disagree with all you've written up there. While we seek modernization, we cannot ignore the fact that, this modernization amounts to social engineering when imposed on herdsmen. We as educated folks must recognize that social engineering takes decades or generations to institute successfully.

In the meantime, bold steps must be taken for the sake of peace.

By the way, herdsmen have been wearing shoes made from hides long before you people met Oyibo folks. smiley

with the grazing bill, an educated igbo, Yoruba or any other tribe in Nigeria who sees cattle rearing as profitable and has interest in it could go into the business. my own cousin leaving in Abuja has more than two-cow of his own under a civilize Fulani man's watch.
