Hmm, the title of the post didn't pass across the message in the content. Anyone that disagrees with the disarmament of the Fulani Herdsmen is evil and worthy of having evil visit his life. What Fayose signed into law doesn't entail no movement of the Herdsmen, rather no movement of the Herdsmen with any sort or form of weapon. They are too devilish to be allowed to even carry stick. Yes there is freedom of movement and doing business for all Nigerians but not to the undoing of another citizen. In as much as we work towards an egalitarian society yet we won't throw caution and security to the wind! #togetherwefightagainstterrorism |

What part does the AK47 play in grazing animals? Arewa should answer that. In the past herdsmen move around with ONLY sticks to tame their cows and goat, but now adding AK47 and somebody say they mean well for Nigeria. |

the Arewa Consultative Forum, however, said any law which contravened the constitution of the country would be illegal, adding that any Nigerian was free to move in any part of the country. now my question is, why do we have laws that are different from NIgeria law (sharia) in zamfara and kano? you guys are just so foolish and devilish... |

Sealeddeal:A well rached cattle rearing system is a beautiful thing to do as a proper farming business with farm records for inputs, proper monitoring and where extension officers can visit for all good reasons. This is how it is done in countries you find as best beef and dairy producers of the world. Nigeria is no where in this rankings despite killings for the sake of roaming about primitively with cattle without considering modern methods. For politicians in support of the status quo, how many of them have their kids roaming about with cows? |

I am not an igbo man, but it surprise me how the strength of igbos have been weaken because of their recent childish protest and complains. Giving Ultimatum and no action. THE GOV. OF ENUGU STATE IS A DISGRACE. HE HAS NO BUSINESS BEING A GOVERNOR. |

Fayose signed a fantastic, commendable and generally acceptable bill into law. I am with him on this one. It is about time for the NC, SW, SE and SS states to think about similar laws. |

searchiing4love:Oga leave this your long story. Your excuse is lame, laughable and worst of all, impracticable. Cattle rearing is a personal business and should be treated as such. How can a selective few turn the the whole of Nigeria to a grazing reserve just because the constitution guarantees the freedom of movement? Can we say because we have freedom of speech, we should start insulting our parents? Those cows are owned by the elites. They buy and hand them over to the fulani man to look after. They should buy plots of lands, fence them and put their useless cows inside. You talking about beef? The world is moving away from red meat and with the way things are going, they would start eating their cows very soon. You spoke as if other regions don't rear animals. The north was bragging that they are the food basket of the nation, this had awoken the beast in the eastern part and if they continue like this, in abother 5 years, the East will be completely independent of the north in terms of food. Bros, let every Fulani keep their cows. If I were Fayose, once we get you and your cows, we arrest you and your cows become stare property. I go start share meat along the yam and garri wey I dey give my people. |

even farmers buy fertilizer from the government, when I want to go to the north to far, I will rent the land And still buy fertilizer, it my business not that of government. I don't know what so special about these herdsmen. they don't pay for anything every law favours them and they still kill others. I support this bill |

[quote author=searchiing4love: Fayose was wrong to enact such laws in the first place. The fulanis have the right to live and work in ekiti just like every other Nigerian. Why ban their business of cattle rearing when they have no other means? Why criminalize the fulanis as if all fulanis are killers? There are bad eggs amongst every tribe, why do we make it look like violence is exclusive to northerners only. The people we should frown at are cattle rustlers who steals cattle from fulanis and use them as disguise for their evil deeds. The fulanis are peaceful people who go about their business in peace and we all know they control their herds of cattle with mere sticks. Even though we call them primitive, how many southerner can rear cattle for national consumption like the fulanis? Without them how do we see beef to consume? The rustlers are armed terrorist escaping from the north east to the south. What fayose should have done is to forbid any herdsmen from moving around with weapons, not banning cattle rearing completely. If all states cooperated with the FG on creation of grazing reserves throughout the country, there will not be a single cattle left on the streets looking for grass. Instead we chastised president Buhari's brilliant policy in the name of islamization. The ripple effects are the incessant attacks by the rustlers. The grazing bill remains the best and safest option. Not unnecessary bans ![]() Guy i have been following ur comments for sometimes now. I have come to conclusion that what ever affect d south is none of ur business so long as it doesn't touch d North. That is not a patriotic way to go; assuming we in d south who have goats and have been grazing with it decided to b using it to destroy rice and sorghum farm in d North, guy b sincere to urself; what would have happen? Fayose didn't ban herdmens in Ekiti, rather the law is say that any herdman caught with a gun will b treated as a terrorist, pls go and read it again this time with open mind. And learn to speak against any thing that ur brothers are doing that is wrong. Remember no body have monopoly for violence. |
