"Come on John it would be fun" Mia said in a very loud voice as the previous fighters went off the stage like ring" Fighting each other non stop till people watching decides will should stop should be fun to those watching, not us fighting and besides I wouldn't want to hurt you" I replied dismissing the thought of sparring in the centre of the gym

"They would be betting as we fight" she said all smiles "Even if they would I still will not fight you there" I replied looking indifferent

"And who would be the final fighters for today?" The presenter asked as people around the sparring space screamed in delight. I frowned because fighting someone to thrill these overwhelmed audience sounded really annoying to me.

"I" Mia screamed and after that the whole place was silenced and the presenter mimicking a wrestling announcer said "And now here comes the big she-wolf, an Omega who just came back to the land of the norms would be the next fighter, but the question remains who would be her opponent?"

I've had enough of this stupid show. The crowd jeered more loudly until these ugly head assholes showed their face The guards. If I wasn't beating someone right here I would have turned to them but I have no time for that, I wanted to beat this girl to submission.

She was lying on the floor and I turned her over, I dug my elongated claws in her back, her spine to be precise, somewhere I call the sweet spot and with my claws touching that bone I swipe it, that would take a couple of days to heal, no matter how fast she heals. After paralyzing her I ran away from the gym just like other students that trying to run from the guards

When he made sure I saw him he moved behind a building. I'm sure he wanted me to follow him, so I followed "You could get into trouble" John said, looks like he was going to be taking my place after all.

Following the man, I got behind the building and he was nowhere, using John's super senses I heard three steady heartbeats and smelt old wood. That smell was familiar, Slaughs. I was at high alert looking around me trying to prevent any surprise attacks. Slaughs were not friendly creatures, so if three were here that means, I hate to think what it means. John was giving me the creeps with his screams in my head, but i ain't no coward. I ignored him.

A young pretty looking female was approaching me with a smile that I would say divided her face into two, what! Did this useless slaugh think I would fall for that, I could smell the old wood right from where I was standing. I waited till she came within my reach and I wasted no time in punching her.

The girl got me a little bit distracted that I didn't notice another guy by my right, all I felt was a sharp stinging pain below my right ribs I noticed he had slashed me with his claws. If I get things right, these guys weren't really into this fight, so that means its either the wanted to capture me or the just wanted to hurt me because you can't have killing someone in mind and fight this way.

I punched the guy back really hard on the jaw and that made him fall, I was going after him when I felt a movement behind me, I made to turn but I wasn't fast enough, I could feel someone's palm at both sides of my face, or rather both sides of my temple, I wanted to move away but an unlikely force made me rooted to that spot, my eyes were closing, my knees were getting weak, so were the rest of my body.

My whole body was glowing white, and that white glow was moving off my body and passing into whoever is behind me through my temple into his hands, I knew what was happening, I knew what the person behind me was doing, and I knew the outcome of what the person was doing, now the Andersons have been wiped from existence, I was the last Anderson, was because my soul has been stolen.

CHAPTER 19


I woke up with a serious headache, the Iodoform disinfectant wasn't helping matters, the smell was crushing my brains, I smelt that way too, looks like someone rubbed me with this brain crushing and smelling antiseptic I jerked up angrily, how did I get into this hospital anyway? I didn't seem to remember, and I had no one to help me remember.

By having no one to help me remember, that reminded me about this empty feeling, someone's presence was absent in me Jenny's "What happened to her?, is she well?, or maybe she has decided to leave me, or is she dead" I bombarded myself with questions, questions that someone would have to answer, because I was running crazy here, it was just like waking up to find yourself in a strange place, then you find out your companion of the night before is missing. I had this feeling I feared I would have should Jenny leave me or die, nothing could explain the emptiness I felt right now, but surprisingly I don't know how it happened and that alone was like a boost to my banging head.

"Is he awake?" a familiar voice asked someone. Was I blind?, how come I didn't notice these people hovering nervously beside me?, maybe I can resort to blaming that useless antiseptic again, who knows the thing might have made me temporarily blind.

"He should be dead" a woman in a white cloth said staring straight into my eyes, like her eyes were penetrating my soul seeing what's behind it, I hated this kind of stare but instead of dwelling on that I'm glad I could see, loosing m eyesight at this young age was never on my bucket list.

"Jesse what happened?" I asked the second female in our group, I recognised her the first person to speak when I woke up. "I should be asking you that" she said back with folded arms "I saw the slaugh steal your soul, you don't even look like someone who forgets anything, let alone like a dead person" Joe said, and the events of that day started unfolding in my head.

First I remembered Mia forcing me to fight her in the gym, then me letting Jenny takeover, thereby going unconscious, then I came around outside the gym, was like a spectator in my own body, noticed someone watching us, Jenny going after that person, and the event that followed hit me, now I know how Jenny left.

".... and I became unconscious again" I narrated to Mia. From what Joe said he saw a glow behind a building and he knew what was happening but before the got there the slaughs were gone and I was lying unconscious on the ground and I've been out for one week, and since I left the hospital I've been in Mia's apartment, she was being too overprotective, scared that something would happen to me again if I leave.

"You are still alive because she took over your body and her soul got stolen instead of yours, and here I am angry that she took over" Mia commented "Okay Mia less talking more drinking" I said pointing to the vodka in front of us. "what, its not like we cold get drunk, but I have a little something to spice it up" she replied and she dashed into one of the rooms. She came back later with a jar, in that jar was a purple substance. "If I didn't know better I would say that's wolfsbane" I said to her as she walked towards me. She opened the jar and she scooped just little amount of the wolfsbane into our drinks.

"You know we're still underage for this kind of thing" I side to her in my normal cautious voice she always ignored "Like I care she said before downing the whole cup "at least this would make me think better when facing the principal tomorrow My Omega" that she said before she slept off. Her last two words made me start to think I didn't tell her I was an Omega, how did she know? That had to be the day we found out we were mates. I just put that thought off my mind as I drank this alcohol with a thick scent.
