Resign if you want to, their salaries I'm sure were not slashed but it's the free money regime that has come to an end nothing more than that. There are many who will take your place please resign.

Story.

They are not going anywhere.

Custom corruption is too sweet for them to leave.
don't mind them oh. they should leave if they want to. there are over 4 million unemployed people. atleast 500,000 of them are qualified enough to take their place.

When all the channels where they used to loot and feed fat had been blocked, why won't they want to quit? They should even go sef, to create opportunities to those that are willing to do the job.

Jesus!Naija is getting better. For staff of custom to be ththreatening poor working condition, it means the so called thieves amongst them are not ggetting kick backs again. They're used to living beyond their means now their real salary can't sustain them..

loloo.... amazing information about about customs. that is a nice talk of the season. I don't think it's because of the poor remuneration that they are complaining about, it s became al the bribes they used to receive, they have not been able to receive it again. why did they complain before now? they should just park their stuffs and resign.
Re: Poor Remuneration: Mass Exodus Of Officers May Hit Customs by Nobody: 8:47am On Sep 01, 2016
Why would they resign? Was there any slash in their salary?
Hope this is not one of the ripple effects of the fight against corruption by this present regime.
Nigerian civil servants should learn how to live according to their salary.Or better still have supporting means of income from legitimate business(es).
Now the climate is no longer favourable for sharp practices, they are now clamouring to leave.
This is what happens when Government workers get so used to hefty kickbacks & bribes - their monthly income would definitely be "chicken change" to them.

Salary wey dem don turn to recharge cards and suya money - it would always be difficult to start depending on it all of a sudden.

It seems the new Customs boss is winning the war against corruption - kudos to him!!

Oga the worst corruption is in the Customs I know of a command that collects $25,000.00 on each vessel at every port of call in Lagos as bribe till date.Infact the amount increase in PMB's regime.

One can conclude these officers find it difficult to milk the system as they did so effortlessly in the past.
