Where are those drumming for war before now, where are the IPOB online warriors?

For what it's worth, a legit business man/food transporter wouldn't be afraid to see those riversides guarded by the military.

QuotaSystem:
Collateral effects of the Niger Delta war on terror.

It has been emphasized severally, until the innocent citizens cooperate with the military to fish out the militants from their communities, possibly through the formation of a civilian JTF like in the North East, they stand at a serious and heightened risk of collateral damage from the military operation. The foolishness of supporting the scAvengers and cheering on other militants is beginning to dawn on the misguided members of the communities.

The sooner the militants can be wiped out and the military operation ends, the better for everyone.
But d govt is supposed to be in negotiations with dem na abi? Or is dis their own part of d negotiations.

Nigeria Army, the same tactics u used in 1966 is still the same Tactics you're using in 2016.....
Re: Military Operation: Food, Transportation Crises Hit Delta, Bayelsa by Ijaya123: 8:35am On Sep 02, 2016
The way out of this situation is for the communities to form their own JTF, like it was done in the NE so as to assist the military flush out the bad elements in those areas.

Failure to do this, they just have to live with it.
Re: Military Operation: Food, Transportation Crises Hit Delta, Bayelsa by QuotaSystem: 8:39am On Sep 02, 2016
How can the government negotiate while criminals are still bombing? Did they not launch a parody Operation Crocodile Tears to defy and further challenge the military?

Grandstanding will only lead to bloodshed, and it's in the best interest of the militants to surrender and of the people to stop supporting them.

Did you say war?
Who are they killing, warring with?

When they were violent and destructive, FG never sent military, infact when they gave them 48hrs to vacate the community, the soldiers were actually withdrawn...... How comes , now that the bastards actually seized fire and are ready for dialogue, the FG then send troops?

Isn't it act of cowardice? Now making life darn difficult for the inhabitants of the communities. God'll help NIGERIA!

No matter the action of the govt, it doesn't change the fact that the Ijaws are being extorted.

Until the extortion stops, militancy is going no where. It is a matter of one wave after another.

Those of you celebrating about the plight of the Ijaws, Congratulations!!! You people are responsible for creating new/aspiring millitants per day.

Remember, militancy is born out of Anger so good job with your provoking comments.

No matter the starvation tactics the army use against the ND it will still not be poor nor hungry like the north.

Even the South East was hungrier than the North East during the war during the food blockade, as people were literally dropping to their death like flies due to starvation. I'm sure you've seen the pictures.

Forget this petty grandstanding, war anywhere is not a tea party.

You see why it is very difficult for me to make it to the front page, when some people start commenting on a headline by 2am, and i am Seing the same heading by 8am, i don't need to think about about FP.

Na wao, some people no dey sleep at all, seat with their phone for 24hrs, and they will be the first to criticise PMB, Lazy people expecting magic all the time.

Almost all the faceless people i met on this forum, judging by their comment, there are no future leader.

This is the reason why the country continue to recycle old men. A leader can easily be identified and found, not imposed on people.

This is the reason why the country continue to recycle old men. A leader can easily be identified and found, not imposed on people.
There is no culture or institution for breeding good leadership in Nigeria. Everybody is lazy, corrupt and expecting magic
TheRe is no passion for excellence or endurance or love of positive exertion in the youths. Christians call it joyful effort.
Every young person in Nigeria is looking for ready made sucess handed to him with silver tray. They prefer to be "boys" to politicians yet they complain that the old soldiers are bring recycled. I personally can smell a bad leader or a fool in 5 mins of conversation .
I have rated good public service leadership in Nigeria and this is my table , current and ex governors included ;

Awo
Murtala Muhammed
Buhari/Idiagbon
El Rufai
Samuel Mbakwe
Audu Ogbeh
Ogbonaya Onu
Olusegun Obasanjo
Melford Okilo
Fashola
Tinubu
Kwankwaso
Ayade
Amosu
Obi
Obiano
Diete Spiff

If you don't know some of the names on this list, no apologies. You are just too young.

Some random truths arranged in no particular order:

The worst leaders Nigeria (President and Govs) ever had were Shagari, Goodluck Jonathan, Odilli and Abacha.
Abacha was better than the other two in terms of leadership skills but his blood thirstiness and over reaction to opposition spoilt everything. Odilli had talent but extremely selfish and corrupt.

Shagari and Jonathan should never ever have been made President - they were weak and confused throughout their terms.
Igbinedion, Orji, and all the PDP middle belt governors under Jonathan were the worst governors in Nigeria ever.
Igbinedion in particular not only had ZERO leadership skills, his IQ was also below average.

Odilli was probably the most corrupt governor in any third world country on earth yet he had more leadership talent than most Nigerian leaders you compare him with. Just a spoilt , evil man who wasted good talent.

Shonekan did a lot quietly for the Nigerian economy but was cut too short in office by Abacha.

The IBOs don't encourage good leadership. Their culture in politics is too selfish, materialistic, cultic and exclusive. It is very difficult for that region to bring good materials into the political class. They should stick to trading and quick returns manufacturing

The Cross Rivers/Akwa Ibom axes has the most creative, hardworking and progressive Nigerians in public service, Every assignment they are given locally or nationally is always executed to first class standards. The examples are many- Isong, Ani, Duke, Ayade, Udoma, etc, c. So many more. Even now, Buhari works better and trust the Minister of National Planning and Budget than any other.

The Niger Delta has very counter progressive culture. They are extremely lazy, weak minded, emotional, sentimental and are not capable of the discipline and endurance necessary for success. They have short term view of life and are not viable as a people.

The North is the most retrogressive Nigerian region. Lazy politicians with feelings of entitlement, too exclusive of millions of their people who they call Almajiris. Institutionalised corruption and nepotism. Buhari has a great deal of work to DO to prepare the region for the 21st century. It has nothing to do with religion- Dubai and most of UAE is ready for 2 1st century. Turkey is already there . Iran and Pakistan are moving fast.
