Edith Cowen University directed me to an agency (BCIE).and there agent told me that they will help me get admission and also advice me on visa processing.....for free.....I have started the process with the guy....hope ....I won't be asked for money from the agent before he forwards the letter to me...when it(admission letter) eventually comes out.

If the essence of PhD is to get a job, it is not necessarily important in Australia except you plan to work in research centres or university.
Depending on your area of study, I will advice you do your PhD in USA as they have lots of funding for PhD compare to Australia that funding is limited.

Look there are ample opportunities in both countries. Personally I would prefer to live in US when it comes to business opprtunities and connecting back home. On the other hand I do prefer Aus when it comes to health care.

Am not saying there are no business opportunities in Aus it is just difficulty making profits when you compare with same business when done in the US.

If you decide to be a salaryman or wages-man, Aus is better than US.

If you are in search of PR after studies; I wont be able to speak for US (smattering knowledge) but for Aus you can be sure of having one in a year after your studies off course if you meet the requirements.

Majority of the schools in Aus hardly ask for processing/application fees except things have changed.
Even thou you are applying via an agent, you still not expected to pay since agents get commission from school on every sucessful applicant (a student who has been given admission and has paid part of their tuition/acceptance fees) from them.

If one of these conditions has been imposed on your visa, you cannot apply for another visa (except a protection visa or a temporary visa of a specified kind, while you are in Australia).
When you depart Australia a 'No Further Stay' condition will not prevent you from applying for other visas.

To secure a job from Nigeria you need to have wealth of experience under your belt and must have studied a course that is highly in demand. Eg Medicine, Engineering.
