After the NNPC delegation had surveyed the land at Anyibe, in Logo local government, they went on a site seeing for the project sites along the Bank of the river From Anyibe to Saghev, in Guma local Government with the Principal consultant, Mr Hur-Ordoo Nambativ by speed boats and stopped at the Confluence between River Benue and Katsina-Ala at Saghev, then back to Agasha.
Engr Usman Umar, Leader of the Delegation from the NNPC commended the people of Benue for their warm hospitality and Enthusiasm for the Ethanol Plant.
Now that the state Government has handed over the maps to the NNPC, the NNPC and the State Government will now value the land of the communities to determine their equity share in the Ethanol plant. Continue to see more photos..

[s]These fools wasting resources on needless ventures. They must have budgeted a whole lot for this.

Since it is Nnpc I guys they are there for oil.

Why not contact a geological firm to study the basin if the five steps needed for oil to accumulate are present, then contract exploratory firms to drill exploratory wells instead of this nonsense they called "looking for resources". [/s]

modified: Topic updated to show it is an ethanol plant site they visited. No need for the numerous pictures. They should mobilize contractors to get to work already. They should not forget when using foreigners to build, to insert clauses in the contracts to enable technology transfer.

The Chinese model used in the train and other infrastructure provision is at a loss for nigeria. They give you loan with interest, use their equipment, manpower and materials to carry out the task thereby taking back a huge percentage of the loan, then we still repay the loan in the future.
There is no provision for technological transfer and no provision for local manufacturing. They still get to handle future maintenance at a cost.

Our future is being sold today.

Its funny how some individuals just go online under the cover of anonymousity and insult elders with reckless abandon without recourse to prior reasoning. Now this one here actually thinks he is smarter than the entire NNPC, he believes he knows better than NNPC regrading the steps to follow in oil exploration. undecided

what is ''insult elders''? Is it respect that will take you out of the condition you are in?

I repeat, if i saw scientists and geologists studying the geography and drilling wildcats for exploration i would have commended. What i am seeing in this pictures is foolishness of the highest order if it relates to finding oil.

So because you see a picture of a few men on a speedboat, you jump into conclusion that that is all that is being done?.... Probably someone would just jump down from the sky and start drilling wildcats without any single site visit, without any direct survey to even ascertain a suitable place to drill?... Wonderful!

You must surely be a very smart petroleum engineer who knows it all, even NNPC officials don't know jack and deserve all your insults. By the way the report talks about an ethanol plant...
